Victim of Sexual or Domestic Violence, contact 24/7 crisis hotlines: NJ State Certified Sexual Violence and Domestic Violence Response Advocates can be reached through the 24/7 toll-free SERV hotlines: Women s Referral Central provides statewide information and referral for women. Referrals are based on issues of concern to women in NJ including, but not limited to, abuse, legal or medical issues, and homelessness. 4

8 Addictions Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program Center for Family Services Location: 584 Benson Street, Camden, NJ Phone: x111 Services: 12 week outpatient substance abuse treatment program for youth. Open referral. Eligibility: Camden and Gloucester county youth abusing drugs or alcohol. Amity House Inc. Location: 211 Garden Street Mt. Holly, NJ Phone: Services: This is a halfway house that offers shelter, food, counseling, life skills, social services, and medical services. The average stay is 2-6 months. Pregnant women accepted. Child Protection Substance Abuse Initiative (CPSAI) Center for Family Services Location: 584 & 560 Benson Street Camden, NJ Phone: x120 Services: Substance abuse treatment for parents and caregivers. They offer transportation and case management. DCPP referral. Eligibility: Parents abusing drugs or alcohol from Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Camden, Salem, Cumberland, and Gloucester County. Family First Center for Family Services Location: 594 Benson Street Camden, NJ (Lynn s House) Phone: x116 Services: Outpatient program that offers counseling, parenting groups, case management, and child care. Eligibility: Women with substance abuse addiction with children living in Camden or Gloucester County. Genesis Counseling Center Location: 566 Haddon Avenue Collingswood NJ Phone: Services: Outpatient and Inpatient services. Program offers individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling and marriage counseling. They also offer the sunrise program which is counseling services for students in Collingswood schools. Payment method: self-pay, private insurance, military insurance, and sliding scale. Hampton Hospital Location: P.O. Box Beverly-Rancocas Road Rancocas, NJ Phone: Services: Psychiatric hospitalization for adults and adolescents; dual-diagnosis unit; individual, family, and group counseling; referral service; self-help and support groups. Kennedy MICA Program Location: Cooper Landing Road & Chapel Avenue Cherry Hill, NJ Phone: Services: Group therapy for adolescent population (ages 13-18) substance abusers is held twice a week in Cherry Hill, three times a week in Washington Township; emergency crisis center; adolescent psychiatric outpatient and inpatient facility; adult psychiatric unit; adult detox and inpatient and outpatient drug/alcohol rehabilitation center; MICA club for mentally ill, chemically addicted; outpatient detoxification; day treatment; intensive outpatient. La Esperanza Outpatient Treatment Program Location: 2700 Westfield Avenue Camden, NJ Phone: Services: La Esperanza is an outpatient drug treatment program for individuals with substance abuse problems, including an innovative program specifically for women. Individual and group counseling is enhanced by family sessions, case management and collaboration with collateral contacts as appropriate. Additional support and assistance are provided to job seeking clients. Services are provided in both English and Spanish. Maryville, Inc. Location: 156 Broadway Westville, NJ Phone: Services: This program offers residential inpatient programs, outpatient programs, detox programs, and urine drug screens. They take private health insurance and self-pay. Eligibility: Residential 18+ Outpatient 13+. MICA Club UMDNJ Location: 498 Marlboro Avenue Cherry Hill, NJ Phone: Services: Inpatient/Outpatient services for substance abuse addictions. My Father s House Location: 104 N. King St. Gloucester City, NJ Phone: Services: They offer Assessment / Evaluation, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient Treatment, Individual Counseling, Family Counseling, Aftercare Groups, and a food pantry. Eligibility: All clients 13 years and older are welcomed into the program. All must be substance abusing or chemically addicted to enter treatment. Everyone is accepted regardless of sexual orientation, race, creed, or handicap. Individuals under the age of 18 must have written consent of their parent or legal guardian in order for My Father s House to administer any assessment or treatment services. 6

23 AIDS Coalition of Southern NJ Location: 100 Essex Avenue Suite 300 Bellmawr, NJ Phone: Services: Shelter/Emergency Housing Housing and Shelter Assistance Althea Wright Center for Men Location: 271 Atlantic Avenue Camden, NJ Phone: Services: The Transitional Living Program offers services to 99 single adult homeless men. It is designed to move each individual through three phases which concentrate on addressing basic needs, life skills, employment and housing. Eligibility: Clients must be over the age of 18, single adult male with no arson or sexual offenses. If diagnosed with mental or behavioral issues must be accompanied with medication and will then be referred to Safe Haven for services. Anna M. Sample House Location: Line Street Camden, NJ Phone: Services: This 25-bed residence for homeless families and single adult females is supervised 24 hours/day. The average length of stay varies for each individual. Services also include: case management, assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, child-enrichment activities, clothes, life skills training, household items, mental health, emergency shelter and educational/vocational referrals, 3 nutritious meals/day. Transportation is provided. Appointment preferred, referral required, walk in for service and to apply. Camden County OEO Location: 538 Broadway Street Camden, NJ Phone: Services: Homeless prevention programs, housing construction rehabilitation program, and Emergency Services: Depending upon the availability of funds, Camden County OEO provides emergency food, rent payment or relocation assistance, referral services or someone to talk with to discuss your situation.
