5 Service Learning Project partnering with Rusk State Hospital to improve the quality of life of mentally ill institutionalized patients while providing experiential learning opportunity for psychiatric nursing students. Students in Mental Health Nursing Course (NUR 332) provided birthday parties for patients at Rusk State Hospital under supervision of myself as nursing instructor and Community Services Dept of the hospital.
