7 Industry Sessions Our mission statement is to provide the best LIMS systems in the world. Our globally developed Best Practice Solutions are a key mechanism for doing this. All new projects are evaluated against these solutions, often generating improvements and extensions. For the past eight years, the majority of new systems have leveraged at least one solution. Users from existing systems are encouraged to engage with LabWare services in order to benefit from our new Component Solutions and Upgrade strategy. The objective of the Industry Sessions is to get the Solution leadership team, implementation consultants and customers together to discuss how they can be improved. They are a key forum for raising generic suggestions and feedback that may benefit the solution. INDUSTRY SESSIONS The leadership team will have a number of topics for discussion at the forum. They will also have questions they would like to ask specific project teams. Most of the LabWare consultants who have used a solution will also be at these sessions. Feedback that is not sufficiently generic (e.g. project-specific concerns) may be addressed on a one-to-one basis during the CEC. 8 Special Interest Sessions These sessions have a clear objective: to ratify a particular strategy or gain feedback on an issue. The presenter will explain how LabWare intends to deliver the outcome and the input from the conference will be taken on board. Note that some special interest sessions will be run by LabWare partners. B09 Session 1: Data Integrity Presenters: Andy Gray, Hazel McMeekin Data integrity is a major regulatory topic and critical component of data, information, and reports submitted to regulatory authorities for licensing applications. In Early 2015 the UK regulatory body, the MHRA, issued guidance for industry. Since then, LabWare has released a paper on Data Integrity. Following on from the Data Integrity presentation in the morning, we will discuss how this will impact our customers in the short and long term. SPECIAL INTEREST B09 Session 2: Instrument Integration Strategy Presenters: Ian Snell, Guido von Dahlen, Andy Gray, Tom Brohan, Dave Clarke Following on from the morning s Instrument Integration Strategy presentation, this breakout session will explore this topic in a more interactive way. We want to thoroughly engage with our customer base, discuss challenges, verify our strategy and obtain feedback wherever possible. We will also review instrument meta data integration into LabWare. B10 Cloud Implementation (partner vendor session) Duration: 90 minutes Presenter: Marc Rabil (Simplica) Learn how to set up and run LabWare 7 on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This session will show step-by-step instructions for installing and running the LabWare 7 Web application on AWS. Included will be sizing and server recommendations. In addition, there will be a preview of the new Simplica Cloud hosting environment with turn-key solutions for implementing LabWare and running Simplica s Sample Wizard web portal. In addition to this session, Marc and his team will be available all week to discuss cloud and web technologies with conference delegates. Meet them at the Simplica stand near the Fitzwilliam Hall. B11 Session 1: SAP Integration Presenters: Andy Gray, Tony Moore, Fabio Carraro, Simon Zapata, Klaus Volckmar A follow up from the morning s SAP presentation, with a focus on seeking feedback from our customers. B11 Session 2: High Availability & Deployment Presenters: Simon Zapata, John Perry Techniques organisations use to deliver High Availability solutions (Simon Zapata). This presentation summarises the top "pinch points" in keeping a system available 24/7 and the techniques used to manage them including keeping databases and application servers available 24/7. Deployment Technologies (John Perry). We will talk about the different deployment options available incl. Parallels, RDS & the advantages of VDI solutions with reference to local, remote and cloud based environments. 7
9 B12 Northwest Analytics (partner vendor session) Duration: 90 minutes Presenter: Jim Petrusich (Northwest Analytics) In addition to this session, Jim and his team will be available all week at their NWA stand near the Fitzwilliam Hall. Session 1: Pharma A Practical Approach to Continued Process Verification (CPV) As more pharmaceutical companies are beginning to integrate tools to meet Continued Process Verification (CPV), the focus is on constantly monitoring the most important parameters (Critical Process Parameters- CPPs) effecting product quality (Critical Quality Attributes- CQAs). Analytics is the key to implementing these projects, but many challenges exist. Where do you start a CPV initiative? Who should be involved? How do you ensure success? Leveraging analytics has proved to be exceedingly challenging for many organizations. We will review lessons learned and how to overcome cultural obstacles to deploy and grow CPV projects. Session 2: Real-time Monitoring Lab Methods Focusing on a holistic approach to monitoring laboratory method QA /QC allows labs to provide assurance to their customers that the analytical methods used meet the highest standards for quality and integrity and that the resulting data deliverables are accurate. Real-time Analytics and Intelligence methods now being widely adopted in manufacturing can provide a framework that provides the same benefits to the laboratory. These methods deliver a complete analytics-based contextual view of processes that can be employed to monitor analytical methods for the entire lab in real-time. We will demonstrate a platform for streamlining this process to provide lab managers and supervisors visibility into method and instrument precision and accuracy. SPECIAL INTEREST B13 Session 1: Validation Presenter: Hazel McMeekin LabWare has undertaken many validation assignments over the past few years. Hazel will start by highlighting our approach and the best practice materials that we have at our disposal. This will be followed by an open discussion. Attendees will be able to share their validation challenges with Hazel s team and hopefully will leave the session with some useful suggestions to take home. B13 Session 2: Rolling Out LabWare to Sites in India Presenter: Rashid Moquim Most big organisations will have to roll out LIMS to a site in India at some point. LabWare has assisted with this on many occasions, both for pharma and non-pharma customers. This presentation will go through the do s and don ts of deploying LIMS in India. 8
