Session Descriptions Session Name Session Description Audience Level Type A Perfect Combo: Infinite Campus, SQL Server BI, SharePoint and.net Programming Join Aneesh Geevarghese and Laurel Podraza from the Central Bucks School District to hear what they have accomplished in custom development. This includes attendance scanning in the high schools and updating Infinite Campus with.net, creating advanced customized elementary school report cards utilizing SSRS, and using SSIS to update the Campus database. Technology Directors and Staff Ad Hoc : Pass-Through SQL Query Join us for a session that will boldly go where no Ad Hoc Query has gone before. This hands-on session will introduce you to basic SQL commands, tables, and views. Learn to create queries that return customized sets of data. A basic understanding of SQL and a working knowledge of the Infinite Campus data schema is helpful. Consider the companion session of "SQL & ODBC". A copy of the Infinite Campus data schema will be provided to all that attend. Data, Ad Hoc Users Ad Hoc Beginner: Learn About the Most Powerful Tool in Campus Ad Hoc : Can I Ad Hoc that? Ad Hoc Reporting tools provide users with the ability to filter, display and report specific database information based on defined criteria. Ad hoc filters can also be used in conjunction with many reports throughout Campus to further filter results to a specific set of data or students. We will spend our time reviewing how to use both the Selection Editor and the Query Wizard to get the information you need in a way that is understandable and useful. Attendees will learn how to build Ad Hoc Selections that can be used throughout the system, as well as Ad Hoc Queries that can help you find the students you need, when you need them. This session is for intermediate Ad Hoc users who want to understand how to use functions and logical expressions (AND/OR statements) to generate more precise Ad Hoc reports. Grouping options for the output will also be covered. Prerequisite: Participant has created Ad Hoc filters. General Audience Beginner General Audience Advancing your Infinite Campus Data Visualization: A District Perspective Join Karen Payne from Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District to see how they are using Tableau to change the way data is consumed. Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District is rich with data - data with enormous potential for insight. Tableau was implemented three years ago as a data visualization platform. Once CH- UH began building interactive workbooks, their ability to SEE their data led to big improvement in how the district consumes information. This class will illustrate how CH-UH structured the underlying data, embedded views into Infinite Campus, as well as show some additional visualizations from their library. / Assessment Setup and Imports This session will explore setting up tests in Infinite Campus, importing test score data and exporting the results for analysis in and out of Campus. Specialists, Data, Counselors Attendance: Best Practices, Tips and Tricks In this workshop we will break down Attendance into a simple two-step process. We will review roles and responsibilities of both teachers and attendance administrators, and discuss the ways districts can make Infinite Campus work for them in an efficient, user-friendly way. This session will address the entire attendance process from teacher attendance to the attendance monitor, daily attendance, attendance wizard and student information general attendance. Participants will: - Learn how to track incident-based behavior - Review best practices for using built-in workflows to keep appropriate staff informed - Discover how new links between Attendance and Behavior can help reduce paperwork and improve efficiency - Discuss best practices for reporting Behavior information, Behavior Staff, Office Staff, Data Campus Backpack Best Practices Campus Backpack is a custom reporting module that allows districts to share documents and reports through the Infinite Campus Portal. Attendees will be given an in depth tour of the product focusing on best practices and policies to maximize the power of the tool. There will also be time for questions and answers including a discussion regarding the roadmap of the Backpack. Current and Potential Campus Backpack Users Campus Curriculum Management **NEW Campus Instruction: The latest and greatest for teachers! Participants in this session will learn how Campus Instruction is designed to be your district s Learning Management System (LMS). Session includes: - A preview of upcoming curriculum management functionality, including district management of grading setup and management of units, lesson plans and assignments - The fully integrated Response to Intervention (RTI) plans, intervention delivery data entry and progress monitoring released for Discuss functionality currently in use with closed beta districts At the end of the school year, Campus Instruction will replace the current Instruction module ensure your teachers are ready for the switch. Data Viewer is a user-friendly, report building tool that allows users to actually see the report they are creating as they build it. We will review available fields, drag and drop functionality and practice making real world, useful reports that can help any faculty member. General Audience Beginner Elementary Scheduling using the Schedule Wizard Did you know you can use the Infinite Campus Schedule Wizard in an elementary school schedule setting? Just about every state in the Northeast is moving towards reporting attendance and time in class for the elementary schools, which requires the need for a more accurate elementary schedule. Come see how the Schedule Wizard can facilitate the elementary school scheduling process within your district. Extending Infinite Campus via Premium Products Infinite Campus premium products like Messenger with Voice, Point-of-Sale, Online Payments and Online Registration help to eliminate third party system integrations and streamline district operations. Join us for this session and learn how to: - Add blank forms - Add fillable forms - Where forms are used in Infinite Campus - Customizing fillable forms - Accessing data from fillable forms Data, Office Staff Free and Reduced Application Management The Free and Reduced Application Management (FRAM) module provides the tools for processing applications and approving federal meal service assistance for students. This module is included within Infinite Campus. Get immediate results when processing applications, giving students a free, reduced or paid meal status while ensuring data confidentiality in the cafeteria. In this session, participants will learn the FRAM module from start to finish. This includes processing paper applications with the household application tool, options to go paperless with the Portal application tool, using the Import Wizard for direct certification files and other state-provided free and reduced eligibilities, how to provide verification for free and reduced eligible students, generating batch approval/denial letters, and viewing eligibility reports., Free and Reduced Going Green Join Marti Mauro, from Penfield Central School District, to learn how they have decreased paper and mailing costs by increasing their acceptance of the Infinite Campus Portal and Messenger as a means to keep their school community informed. Also discussed will be the district s experiences with synchronizing data from third party products to Infinite Campus to increase data accuracy and efficiency., Office Staff Infinite Campus Messenger Infinite Campus Messenger can be used to send s for a variety of different reasons, including Attendance and Behavior messages, Staff Messages and Teacher-based messages. In addition to manually sending messages, Message Schedulers can be utilized to send automated messages at a determined, recurring frequency. Participants will learn the set up required by your district in order for the Messenger tools to function properly and review sending and scheduling messages. General Audience Beginner Integrations with Infinite Campus This session will review integrations with Infinite Campus, such as Messaging, Health, Transportation, and POS systems. We will also discuss advanced integrations like Active Directory, Attendance and Special Education systems., Data JSP Powered Tableau Learn how custom JSP routines can streamline the integration of Tableau into Infinite Campus. Topics covered will include implementing single sign-on capability and creating views that automatically filter data based upon current Infinite Campus session settings. This session will be most informative to those with a working knowledge of web programming concepts. Multi-Year Academic Planning Multi-Year Academic Planning (MYAP) allows schools to arrange a student's academic plan through their entire high school career.
