7 Indoor Networked Controls: Introductory course This introductory course has been designed to provide each trainee with a broad understanding of lighting control systems and how the Philips Dynalite system can be used effectively in any residential or commercial application. On completion of this course the trainee will be able to quickly and easily configure a Philips Dynalite system to provide the user with all common functionality. Anyone wanting to carry out basic commissioning of a Philips Dynalite control system in order to provide scene set control for one or more areas of lighting. No previous experience is required. Participants will need a PC notebook (running Windows XP or Higher). Participants will also need administrator rights on their machine to install software. 8 Indoor Networked Controls: System Designer The System Designer course is CEDIA accredited and focuses on the essential competencies needed to design a lighting control system. This module covers the fundamentals of system design. We believe that having the skills to design and specify a project will complement a student s existing skill set. If students are able to correctly specify and manage projects they will save valuable onsite time and minimise costly mistakes. This course will give students the knowledge to become competent lighting system designers. 10 Indoor Networked Controls: Sales Engineer Level 1 This is the introductory course for all Philips staff who are looking to develop their competencies in Philips Dynalite Indoor Networked Control systems. This module covers what can be achieved with a Philips Dynalite system and the fundamentals of designing a commercial system. Topic eight: Presets 1. Presets are the core of the Philips Dynalite operational philosophy. Students will gain an appreciation of what presets are and how they can be best employed in a design solution. Topic nine: Operation 1. Students will be able to describe the basics of how the Philips Dynalite control system operates in terms of its communication process and the power and flexibility of the broadcast network philosophy. 12 Indoor Networked Controls: Sales Engineer Level 2 This course is a continuation of the INC Sales Engineer Level 1 course. It expands on the ideas from level 1 and looks more at the sales process of designing a system, creating a quote and managing a project. Using a real project, trainees gain the skills necessary to create a quote and line diagram for a commercial office lighting control system. 2. Students will learn what the local Green building assessment tools and industry bodies they need to become familiar with and what Philips Dynalite can offer to a customer who is looking to gain an energy efficiency rating for their project. Students will be made aware of the relevant competition, what features and benefits they present to the market and how this differs from the Philips Dynalite offering. 14 Indoor Networked Controls: Sales Engineer Level 3 This is the master class for the Indoor Network Control sales specialist. It extends the competencies covered previously by having multiple practical case studies and a variety of scenarios allowing the student to appreciate the vast choice of product choices available to suite both budget and functionality requirements. Integration to BMS and AV systems is covered in greater depth and the attendee gets to learn basic commissioning competencies using Philips Dynalite s EnvisionProject software. Topic three: The office block 1. By creating large trunk and spur networks, students will demonstrate competence in designing large scalable systems. 2. 24 Indoor Networked Controls: Master Programmer The Master Programmer certification is reached by the programmer completing a number of training modules which cover a range of products and software. The prerequisite for this program is certification as an EnvisionProject Programmer. Programmers who want to gain a strong competency in all aspects of Philips Dynalite commissioning and be recognised as a Philips Dynalite specialist in the industry. The minimum entry requirement for this program is a current certification in EnvisionProject. Participants will need a PC notebook (running Windows XP or higher). It is recommended that the trainee has a Philips Dynalite mini training case to allow them to practice the commissioning functions they will learn. Each module for this program is presented on Webinar as a tutorial and on pre-recorded short run video lecture. Students can watch the videos at a time that suits them and will be invited to webinars for each topic they need to complete as and when they are available. All subjects should be completed within 12 months of the student starting the program. The student will be taught and assessed on the following modules. Topic one: DLight2 1.
