Later I graduated from Zhejiang University with an associate degree in nursing in 1994 and with a Bachelor s degree in Medicine in 2003 in P.R.China. I spent a short time language learning in London and at Napier University in 2005, and completed the MSc in Nursing at Queen Margaret University in After working as a nursing teacher in Hangzhou Normal University in China for two years, I commenced my PhD studies at the University of Edinburgh with a full scholarship in 2008 and graduated in The British-China Education trust kindly offered me a Chinese Student Award with further 3000 financial support for my final year study in UK. After two years teaching in Hangzhou Normal University, I started my current postdoctoral research under the supervision of Professor Heather Laschinger in the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, University of Western Ontario, Canada from Sept My research interest and attitudes My research interests include nursing workforce issues, safety and quality of health care, children s pain management and family relationships with sick children, and other sociological perspectives on health care systems. I appreciate that nursing researchers have multi-interdisciplinary learning opportunities and chances for international communicating and sharing. 1
