3 Geia xara;! CD-ROM The (Yia hara!) CD-ROM is an initiative of the Professional Support and Curriculum Directorate of the NSW Department of Education and Training. It has been jointly developed by Professional Support and Curriculum Directorate and Curriculum Corporation. is an interactive multimedia resource supporting the K-6 Greek syllabus, and may also be suitable for lower secondary learners of Greek. It runs on both Macintosh and Windows platforms. combines audio, text, still and animated graphics and video footage in interactive self-paced learning activities. Each topic is divided into three sequential levels of difficulty and has both learn and test activities. Teachers can track and evaluate student progress. emphasises listening and responding to Greek in a fun and engaging way. It is based on sound language learning methodology and supports students' literacy development. NSW government primary schools offering courses in Greek may order free copies of the CD-ROM by returning the form below. NSW government secondary schools can purchase by returning the form to the Greek consultants with a cheque for $25 (including GST). Nongovernment schools can purchase individual CDs from the Curriculum Corporation (fax: ) or booksellers. Schools wishing to purchase a network licence should contact Curriculum Corporation.
