1 Amway IBO ANZ Training and Education FAQ for IBOs About Amway Training 1. What type of training does Amway offer? Amway offers a variety of training courses such as; Product training Retail training Sales and Marketing Plan training Amway learning pathway known as Amway Certification 2. What are the delivery methods available for Amway training Face-to-face training at the Amway business centres (NSW, VIC, WA, QLD and NEW ZEALAND) Personal Consultation at the Amway business centres elearning (access via Amway website) Webinars (details on Amway website) Facebook and Twitter tips (details on Amway website) Blended learning 3. What is e-learning? Courses that are delivered electronically using the computer. They are self-paced and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 4. How do I access e-learning? Log into the Amway website, select training menu and follow the elearning prompts. 5. Do I need any special program to make elearning run? No. elearning runs off normal PCs. For MAC users, we do suggest you download a program see the How to access elearning guide available on the Amway website. 6. What is blended learning? Blended learning is any program that uses a variety of online, media, and print resources to educate people. Some courses are considered blended learning because they are offered in multiple formats, including online, DVD, CD-ROM, instructor led, and in print. 7. Who can participate? Page 1 of 5

2 Any registered Independent Business Owner (IBO) that would like to refresh their knowledge in Amway and the Amway offerings or to gain more knowledge in health, beauty, good living and essential business skills. 8. What is the cost of Amway training? The majority of Amway training is FREE. All elearning is Free and the national tours usually cost $5. The most you ll ever pay for Amway training is $10 for an international speaker. ABOUT AMWAY CERTIFICATION 9. What is Amway IBO Certification? It is a formal education program that allows you to undertake a selected number of business & product subjects and achieve a certificate at the completion of each level. 10. Is Amway Certification Mandatory? No, participation is optional, but highly recommended. 11. How is Certification delivered? Online via e-learning. 12. How does it work? Various subjects are grouped together to form a level. The starting point is Amway Certification Level How many levels within Amway Certification? Three levels. Amway Certification Level 1 The Foundations Amway Certification Level 2 Introduction to Business Amway Certification Level 3 to be released at a later date 14. Do I need to complete level 1 before I do level 2? Yes, it is recommended. Level 1 is designed as an entry point to the overall Amway learning journey. 15. Do I need to complete all subjects within each level? Yes, if you want to achieve a certificate at the completion of the level. 16. Can I take stand-alone subjects and not complete all the subjects within certification level? Yes, you can pick and choose, but you will not achieve certification without the successful completion of the allocated subjects within each level Page 2 of 5

3 17. What are the advantage of doing a certification course? Gain more knowledge in key areas Achieve a certificate to highlight your accomplishments Gives you more confidence and credibility. 18. What kind of preparation do I need to do for certification? For level 1, no preparation is needed. Level 2 requires the completion of level 1 so that you have foundational information. 19. Is there an exam or assignment? Yes an overall friendly assessment at the completion of each level to reaffirm what you have learnt. 20. How does Certification differ to other training that Amway offers? Certification is the formal learning pathway. Participants are given a certain criteria to undertake and you then achieve a certificate. Other training comprises of a single subjects that can be taken as stand-alone subjects. 21. How much time will it take? Each module is approx 30 minutes, however, as Certification is available on elearning, it is self paced, which means you may take longer if you choose. ABOUT AMWAY CERTIFICATION LEVEL What is level 1 called? Amway Certification Level 1 course The foundations 23. How was it developed? Developed by Amway training educators. 24. Who is this course for? Any IBO that wants to learn about the Amway products, basic business and retail training. This course is perfect for new IBOs to help them get started. It is also an excellent refresher for established IBOs. 25. How much will it cost? Free to all Amway IBOs. 26. What is Level 1 about? It is the stepping-stone to other certification programs and will help to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge for your Amway business. Each module is designed to help you to build your business to a greater height or simply to feel more confident in areas of relevance in today s competitive marketplace Page 3 of 5

4 27. What are the Level 1 subjects? Amway Certification Level 1 is comprised of seven (7) vital core subjects; Welcome to Amway Health & Wellness Home Care Introduction to Beauty Home Technology Business Fundamentals Making Money Through Retail (refer to the elearning site for subject descriptions). 28. If I do the Level 1 (7 subjects) will I get a certificate? Yes, a level 1 certificate, at successful completion of subjects. 29. How long does it take to get my certificate? Certificates are ed to you at the beginning of each month for the previous month. ABOUT AMWAY CERTIFICATION LEVEL What is level 2 called? Amway Certification Level 2 course Introduction to Business 31. How was it developed? Developed in collaboration with the Charles Sturt University (CSU), Faculty of Business. 32. Why a University? Amway wanted the best possible contents for the course to ensure the learning objective of teaching business skills was met. Aligning ourselves with a leading university also means we offer you a credible program that you can be proud of. 33. Why CSU? CSU is the largest inland university in Australia, with students from across Australia and around the world. They are a credible institution and highly recommended. 34. Who is this course for? Any IBO that wants to learn about the fundamentals of running a business. 35. How much will it cost? Free to all Amway IBOs. 36. What is Level 2 about? The Introduction to Business aims to equip you with the essential business knowledge and skills applicable to any business. 5 37. Do I need this type of training? You will gain (or refresh) skills in business that will help you with the running of your Amway business for example taxation, business systems, communication and so on. Everyone can gain something from this Introduction to business course. 38. What are the level 2 subjects? Comprised of Four Modules; Entrepreneurship and business systems Finance and Accounting Marketing and Selling Business Communications 39. Do I receive a certificate at level 2? Yes, certificate of completion. 40. Will the certificate be certified/accredited by CSU? The course is developed in collaboration with CSU and awarded through Amway of Australia. It serves as a perfect stepping stone towards other Charles Sturt University accredited courses. It opens the pathway to future university courses should an IBO want to continue towards accredited courses. 41. How can I get certified/accredited by CSU? This course is for any IBO that wants to learn about the fundamentals of running a business. Topics such as finance, accounting, marketing, selling and communications will equip you with the essential business knowledge and skills applicable to any business. The course serves as a perfect stepping stone to Charles Sturt University accredited courses.

8 Delivery methods Face-to-Face Training Choose from daily demonstrations and training at your local Business Centre in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Join friendly staff on the first Thursday of every month for a regular Welcome to Amway Session. Learn about your Amway business, where to go for resources and support.
