3 Page 3 January 5, 2014 Our Lady of Mount Carmel Snow and Bad Weather Policy For the safety of all concerned, the following policies will apply: Parish Offices: The parish offices will follow what our parish school does. If the school has a delayed opening, the opening of the office will likewise be delayed to the same hour. If school is cancelled for the day, the office, and all activities planned for that day and evening, are also cancelled. Weekday Masses: If the school opening is delayed or cancelled, relevant Masses will be cancelled (for example, if the school delays opening for two hours, the 7 am or 8:15 am Masses will be cancelled that day; if school is cancelled for a day, so are all of that day's Masses.) Sunday Masses: Sunday Masses will RARELY be cancelled. If there is need to cancel one or more Sunday Masses, the pastor alone will make the decision. NOTIFICATION OF DELAYED OPENINGS OR CANCELLATIONS: Any delay or cancellation will be announced through the parish website and Facebook page, an blast, and a recorded message on the parish telephone. (If you would like your address added to our distribution list, please contact Eileen at [email protected].)
