The theme of Congress 2005 is Life in Christ, a particularly appropriate study for our diocese during this Year of the Eucharist. As in the past, the Congress will feature nationally-known speakers who will teach and inspire us. On Friday September 23, we invite you to a Eucharistic celebration at 7:00 pm, followed by a reception. Early bird workshops begin on Saturday at 8:00, followed by Morning Prayer and the keynote presentation by Rev. Richard Fragomeni. After lunch at 1:30 is the general afternoon session featuring Sr. Joyce Ann Zimmerman. A complete Spanish language track begins on Saturday at 8:00 and features a keynote address by Padre Pedro Nunez, from the Archdiocese of New Orleans. 3 A forty-four year tradition! The Congress will challenge Utah Catholics in a vital way. It is the most ambitious step yet taken in the diocese to reach all our fellow Catholics, but especially youth, with religious instruction. Through the CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine), the laity can assume an active role in the teaching apostolate of the church. Bishop Joseph Lennox Federal September 15, 1962 Who? You!!! Mix and mingle with over 800 fellow Catholics from the Diocese of Salt Lake City and surrounding dioceses celebrate the Eucharist with the Bishop enjoy a Meet and Greet Social in the exhibit hall two challenging and inspiring General Sessions plus, brunch and lunch! And early bird sessions full of practical tips and suggestions on a variety of ministries.

4 Keynote Speaker Life is Christ Rev. Richard N. Fragomeni Fr. Fragomeni has contributed articles to a range of journals including Pastoral Music, Catechumenate, The New Theology Review, Modern Liturgy, Assembly, Concilium, and the liturgical planning guides for the Campaign for Human Development and The Liturgical Conference. Tabor Publishing Company released two video conferences conducted by Fr. Fragomeni: "The Catechumenate: What are the Challenges Parishes Face?" and "Christian Initiation: A Call to Conversion." He is a member of the North American Academy of Liturgy and the Catholic Theological Society of America. General Afternoon Session Eucharist and the Dying and Rising Rhythm of Daily Christian Living. Ph.D S.T.D Sr. Joyce Ann Zimmerman is the founding editor of Liturgical Ministry, adjunct professor of liturgy, and Director of the Institute for Liturgical Ministry.
