Current Research Publications On the Brink: Healthcare in the United States Since 1968 This is a substantial book length study detailing changes in many facets of healthcare delivery, training, financing, policy, research, and ethics over the past forty years. The book pays close attention to federal and state legislation that has affected the production and delivery of healthcare services, but also looks at changes in the organization of medical schools and residency programs; the rise of allied health professions; the impact of new developments in bioethics; the changing shape of healthcare financing; changes in the nature of biomedical research; and changes in the organization of hospital and physician services.
