1 Aaron M. Bujnowski Senior Vice President, Strategy and Planning Texas Health Resources Aaron is senior vice president, strategy and planning at Texas Health Resources. In his role, Aaron is responsible for developing system-, zone-, and entity-level strategy across THR s entire enterprise. His responsibilities include all wholly-owned and JV hospitals, all ambulatory assets, and all post-acute assets and also encompasses all system-wide overarching strategies (e.g., population health, physician engagement, service line development, etc.). Aaron joined Texas Health in December 2010 as vice president, analytics and market intelligence. Prior to joining Texas Health, Aaron was director of strategy for Dean Foods in Dallas. His experience also includes time with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he worked as project leader and served as a core member of BCG's health care practice for 4 ½ years. Aaron holds a master's degree in business administration from The University of Texas at Austin (McCombs School of Business), where he graduated with highest honors. He also holds bachelor and masters' degrees in chemical engineering (biomedical emphasis) from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he graduated with honors. In 2015, Aaron became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Jay Brehm Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development Franciscan Alliance Jay was appointed senior vice president of Strategic Planning and Business Development for Franciscan Alliance in February In his current role, Brehm focuses on strategy, business and market development, and managed care initiatives for all 13 hospitals owned and operated by Franciscan Alliance. Brehm has been with the organization for 28 years and previously held the positions of executive vice president and chief financial officer for Franciscan St. Francis Health which operates hospitals in Indianapolis, Mooresville, and Carmel. 2 Bob Broadway Vice President of Corporate Strategy Bethesda Health Bob Broadway, FHFMA MBA is Vice President of Corporate Strategy for Bethesda Health, Inc in Palm Beach County, Florida. Bethesda Health is a community healthcare organization operating two hospitals totaling 500 beds as well as outpatient services in multiple sites. During his 20 years with Bethesda he has been responsible for Strategic Planning and Direction, Community and Governmental Relations, Marketing and Sales, Physician Integration and Business Development. Previously he has been a CFO for a large community hospital, CEO of a large medical group practice. Zach Chandler Executive Vice President Chief Strategy Officer Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation, Memphis, TN Zach Chandler serves as Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation s executive vice-president and chief strategy officer. Since joining the organization in 1997 he has served as the CEO of five different hospitals including BMH-Memphis, a 700 bed acute care hospital. In addition, he spent two years as president of Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas. Zach has also overseen the operations for the six regional hospitals that make up the Regional Market of Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation as well as the eight hospital Metro market which includes four ambulatory surgery centers, as well as home health, hospice, and home medical services. Zach holds a Bachelor s degree in Business Administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and a Master s degree in Healthcare Administration with honors from Washington University School of Medicine. 2 P age
3 Elizabeth Flemming Vice-President of Innovation, Development, and Business Services Group Health Cooperative Elizabeth Fleming is vice president of Innovation, Development, and Business Services for Group Health Cooperative. She played a key role in establishing the Group Practice Division s innovation function, which drives the development of growth opportunities such as our CareClinic partnership with Bartell Drugs. Fleming has also served as executive director of Strategy Development and Deployment and chief of staff to the executive vice president of the Group Practice Division. In that role, she facilitated planning, prioritization, and deployment of Group Health s strategic roadmap. One of her accomplishments in 2013 was to co-lead the Cost Repositioning Team, where she demonstrated her ability to oversee the implementation of challenging, controversial initiatives across the organization. Prior to joining Group Health in 2009, Fleming was senior associate at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. Fleming graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wellesley College as an English major and received a master s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. Jennifer Fry System Executive, Strategy and Marketing St. Vincent Jennifer Fry was promoted to her current role as System Executive of Strategy and Marketing in the Fall of In this role, she oversees the strategic planning, business development, relationship development, strategic marketing, brand management, strategic finance, communications and physician recruitment for St.Vincent. Prior to her current role, Fry served as the Director of Strategic Finance with responsibilities for valuations, business case development, capital planning, and insurance exchange/payer strategy. Fry holds a bachelor s in accounting from Purdue University and maintains her license as a Certified Public Accountant. Roger E. Jansen, PhD Senior Vice President, Strategy and Chief Human Resource Officer Spectrum Health System Roger E. Jansen is responsible for developing and managing the long-range strategies for Spectrum Health and leading the organization s strategic planning process. Roger is also responsible for the oversight of systemwide human resource functions. This includes human resource initiatives that support the business plans, core values and missions of Priority Health, Spectrum Health Medical Group and Spectrum Health Hospital Group. Roger conducted his professional training in the areas of clinical and neuropsychology earning an MA and PhD in psychology both from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1996 and 1999, respectively. 4 Pete Knox MS, BS Executive Vice President - Chief Learning and Innovation Officer Bellin Health System Pete Knox is Executive Vice President, Chief Learning and Innovation Officer for Bellin Health System. In addition, he is a consultant for health care and non health care organizations and is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). ANA LOPEZ-BLAZQUEZ Chief Strategy Officer BAPTIST HEALTH SOUTH FLORIDA Chief Executive Officer BAPTIST HEALTH ENTERPRISES ANA LOPEZ-BLAZQUEZ is Chief Strategy Officer for Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest notfor-profit health care system in the region and Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Health Enterprises the for-profit subsidiary for BHSF. In her role as Chief Strategy Officer Ana has responsibility for strategic planning, business planning, master facility planning, market development, property acquisitions and land development projects including hospital and outpatient facility growth and expansion for all Baptist Health entities and affiliates. As Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Health Enterprises (BHE), she leads that subsidiary which includes all Baptist Health s real estate holdings. BHE currently owns and/or manages a portfolio of about 1.8 million square feet of space. In this role, he has executive oversight for business development initiatives, marketing, clinical service line integration, network affiliations and Penn Global Medicine Services. Ann Paul, MPH St. John Health System (a ministry of Ascension Health) Vice President Strategy and Business Development Ann currently serves as Vice President Strategy and Business Development and leads various population health management development initiatives including the accountable care organization, Oklahoma Health Initiatives. She has extensive experience in management and administration in the healthcare industry. Her experience as a market leader with national health insurers and as an independent consultant has provided knowledge about market environments, strategic planning, and best practices for managing relationships among providers, payors, employers, and brokers. Ann graduated from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor of Education, holds a Master of Public Health degree from University of Oklahoma (OU) Health Sciences Center, and is currently enrolled in OU s Doctor of Public Health program. Ann has been active over the years with various government and healthcare associations. 6 CHRIS WATTS Vice President, Capital and Program Planning BJC HealthCare Chris Watts serves as Vice President, Capital and Program Planning for BJC HealthCare, one of the nation s largest not-for-profit healthcare organizations, with annual net revenues of $4.0 billion and more than 26,000 employees serving the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and mid-missouri regions. Chris areas of responsibility include strategic and capital planning, business development and acquisitions, management of BJC s real estate portfolio and facilities design and construction. Chris holds a bachelor's degree in Health Science, Health Administration from Truman State University and a Master's in Health Administration from Washington University in St. Louis. JOANNE E. WADE Executive Vice President, Strategic Program Development Geisinger Health System Joanne oversees the system s major strategic initiatives with a focus on quality, innovation and market expansion. Ms. Wade oversees the business units of Strategy and Business Development, the research enterprise and Geisinger Ventures. Previously, Ms. Wade also held the (interim) position of Chief Administrative Officer for the Clinical Enterprise. Before joining Geisinger, Ms. Wade was Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer, Division of Biological Sciences and the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, with primary accountability for the operational implementation of the division s strategic vision.
