2 21 st -22 nd of april Dear Colleagues, I am delighted to be chairing Corporate Parity s 2016 Global Trade and Regulatory being held in London on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd April. While 2016 looks set to be an interesting year for international trade with relaxation of sanctions against Iran, enforcement levels are ever increasing, companies and compliance professionals in particular remain mired in the challenges of doing business in high risk jurisdictions, with limited means of seeking hands on or practical solutions to managing these risks across a global business. This event seeks to remedy that by offering a unique forum for Senior Trade Compliance professionals to network with their peers, learn and contribute to identifying best practices and to openly and freely discuss real life issues and solutions in an informal and relaxed setting. It promises to deliver timely and important insights for all those involved in compliance, irrespective of industry or jurisdiction. The first day of the event will set the scene, uncovering the mystique of international arrangements and discussing hot topics and recent regulatory changes, including Iran, cyber, and recent developments in Asia. We will also discuss some of the specific challenges of managing US export compliance in Europe and hear from leading companies as to how they have overcome these challenges. The second and final day of the event will be delivered in workshop style, ensuring all attendees participate in rich discussion. We will aim to identify the optimal way to train your organization and monitor compliance; we will work together to benchmark optimal Trade Compliance Functions - what should it look like from an organization, governance and services perspective. We will discuss effective ways of obtaining reliable classification information from your supply chain, and we will brainstorm ways of demonstrating value of your risk management function to the business. Each delegate will be responsible for their own hotel accommodation and travel expenses, however Corporate Parity will negotiate and offer the best possible hotel rates for its delegates in the same 4-star or 5-star hotel in which the event will take place. Substitution Policy: Substitution of delegate(s) is possible at any time without any extra fees. Nevertheless, Corporate Parity would need at least 3 days prior to the event to make arrangements for the substitute(s). Cancellation Policy: Incase a delegate would like to cancel their participation for some unexpected eventualities, such requests must be submitted in written and sent by post 4 weeks prior to the event in order to obtain a full credit note for any future event organised by Corporate Parity. The fees charged are strictly non-refundable. If Corporate Parity would decide to cancel an on-going event, the delegate would receive a 100% refund of their payment. Non-attendance, otherwise referred as a no show does not signify cancellation. Corporate Parity will not be held responsible for events cancelled for reasons beyond its control such as natural disasters, accidents, sabotage, trade or industrial disputes, outbreak of disease, hostilities, terrorism, etc. However, a full credit note would be given in each of these cases.
