1 Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Chico Area Swim Association. The Chico Area Swim Association has four distinct programs: the MiniJets, AquaJets, Masters, and Summer AquaJets Swim Program. Attached you will find some basic information on our programs as well as the registration documents. Please complete and return the registration documents along with your payment to the file labeled drop off located on the cart during practice times. You can also mail directly to: CAJ, PO Box 1131, Chico CA Registration Directions Complete the Swimmer Registration Form, Financial Agreement, and Team Engagement Questionnaire Complete the In Motion Release Form. Complete the Pacific Masters Registration. We encourage you to complete the Pacific Masters registration online at If you do not have access to do so, the registration form is included in this packet and payment may be made to CAJ. Write one check, payable to CAJ for your first month dues. Ongoing monthly dues can be paid automatically through Team Unified and charged to your credit card. We strongly encourage families to use this feature as it helps streamline the payment process for both your family and CAJ. You will receive an with instructions to register for automatic payment within two weeks of submitting registration. Communication, events, and team support If you are not a member of In Motion Fitness, please check at the front desk in approximately 1 2 weeks for your KEY TAG. Swimmers must use this key tag to enter the club each time they come to practice. Until your key tag is ready, please sign the Chico AquaJets Guest Register at the front desk. Be sure to include up to three addresses on the registration form. We DO NOT release your to any other organization. Coach Betsy distributes the Masters Memo via on a weekly basis. Emergency pool closures or changes in practice times will be communicated through . Copies of the Masters Memo are also available on the file cart. Please retain this page for your records.

3 Chico Masters In Motion Fitness would like to welcome all Chico Master swimmers to our club. The Chico Masters and In Motion Fitness are two different organizations and we would like to clarify the policies for using the lap pool. Keg Tags: Every member and non-member must check in at the front desk. To make check in quick and easy, key tags will be issued to all non-member swimmers once the CAJ Release Form has been turned into Betsy. Please allow two days for the business office to process the paperwork. Nonmembers are only allowed to use the IMF lap pool during Chico Master times: Monday through Friday 6-7am, 12-1pm and 7-8pm and Saturday 8-9 am. If a Chico Masters workout is cancelled, non IMF members are not allowed to swim during this time. Please only enter the club during Master swim practice. Use of the Lap Pool: Lanes 1-6 are the designated lanes for Chico Masters. During the workout times, Chico Masters may not use lanes 7 or 8 (even if you are a member of the club). Lanes 7 & 8 are for non supervised lap swimmers only. During the summer time when the lap pool is heavily used, Masters may be asked to use only 4 to 5 lanes depending on how many Master swimmers and how lap swimmers waiting. Limited use for Non IMF Members: Towels and lockers are for IMF members only. Please bring a towel and store your swim bag on the pool deck. Please do not leave any items in the locker rooms. Usage of the spas is limited to ten minutes after practice. All non-members must leave the facility within minutes after practice. Please do not use any of the other aquatic or club facilities before, during or after Master swim time. A Chico Masters Coach must be on deck before entering the pool. 7 Financial Agreement In Motion Fitness Members who have their membership under the CAJ Corporate account will receive a DISCOUNT on their Chico AquaJets, Masters or MiniJets dues. Corporate Membership with In Motion Fitness is available to all Chico AquaJets, Masters and MiniJets swimmers and their immediate families. Contact the In Motion membership department if you wish to initiate or change your account in order to take advantage of the discounted dues rates. In Motion members not on the CAJ Corporate Account are not entitled to the discount. It is not necessary to be a member of In Motion Fitness to join and participate in the Chico Aqua Jets. For example, a family with 3 swimmers receives a $15 discount for their second and third swimmers equaling a $30 savings. o A $180 cap on dues applies to both CAJ Corp/In Motion members and non CAJ Corp In Motion members. o MiniJets and Masters swimmers will not be included in the family discount or cap. Notice of intent to discontinue swimming for the coming month must be given by the 15 th of the previous month or swimmer will be charged for the following month. No exceptions will be made. If a swimmer attends one or more practices OR swim meet(s) during a calendar month, dues are owed for that month. All Swim Dues are due on the 1 st day of each month and considered late if not received by the 10 th. A $10 late fee will be assessed for late payments. Dues will be discounted 5% for those families who would like to pay their dues annually. All In Motion Fitness membership dues are paid directly to In Motion Fitness. 9 Team Engagement Questionnaire The Chico AquaJets Swim Team is a not for profit, 501c3 organization that is governed by a board of directors made up of swim parents. All swim parents and masters swimmers are considered part of team governance when signing up either seasonal or year round swimmers. The following questionnaire has been designed by the board of directors to provide participants with the opportunity to become engaged in team governance and other team efforts by providing specific background information.
