2 Entrants The Meet is open to SQ registered swimmers, members of Clubs affiliated with other State Associations and international swimmers who meet clearance criteria. This meet has been designed to provide a quality hit out for swimmers competing at the 2013 Queensland Championships, and to provide an opportunity for swimmers to qualify for those Championships. Age Age group of competitors for the meet is the age as at the first day of competition (i.e. 15 November 2014). Minimum age is 10 years. Rules All Swimming Queensland General Rules, Championship By-Laws, SAL & FINA rules apply. Photos In nominating for this Championship, swimmers agree that they may be photographed by Swimming Queensland s approved photographer or Swimming Queensland staff; and that they may also be used by Swimming Queensland on their social media sites, in its publications and on their website. Pool Deck Entry (Coaches & Team Managers) Coaches must present either their current ascta membership card or pool deck accreditation pass to gain free entry to the meet and to access pool deck. Coaches who do not hold a current ascta membership card, Team Managers and support staff who have athletes competing and require a pool deck accreditation for access during the Championships MUST apply by ing [email protected] no later than 5pm Thursday, 13 November for accreditation passes to be made available for collection at the front ticketing desk during the meet. Tickets Pre-purchase tickets are now available for 2014 Medal Shots Qld Long Course Qualifying Meet #2 through EVENTOPIA. You can also purchase a program to collect on the day as you pass through the gate. Tickets will still be available on the day for purchase but at a higher rate. Online Tickets will be available throughout the event. All pre-purchased tickets/program vouchers must be printed out in full displaying the barcode and brought with you at the time of entry. Individuals must contact their Club in order to complete the nomination process. Swimming Queensland will not accept entries from individual members. Club TM Entry files must be received by Midnight, Monday 3 November Instructions and entry information for club Race Secretaries can be found here International swimmers/teams who do not have access to Team Manager or Meet Manager Software may request a Manual Entry Form by ing [email protected]. Closing Date All entries close Midnight, Monday 3 November ALL entries submitted after this time will incur a late nomination fee of $50.00 per event. Late entries will be accepted in the timing room up until ½ hour before the commencement of the first day of competition. Late entries are subject to lane availability in the event, and may result in the swimmer being entered in the slowest heat. 4 Qualifying Times Qualifying times must have been achieved on or after 1 January Any nomination submitted with a time slower than the relevant qualifying time will not be accepted and the nomination fee will be forfeited. Short Course times will not be accepted. Entries will not be accepted unless the qualifying times (Appendix A) have been swum at a long course qualifying meet prior to the closing date for this meet (3 November 2014). Entries submitted with no time or NT will not be accepted. Exceptions to the above paragraph: Nominations using club nights, time trial times may only be submitted for the events outlined below, provided they are verified by the Club Race Secretary or Nominations Officer, prior to the closing date. Proof of time must be provided in the Meet Entries Report. These events are: * 10 years and 11 years age groups (all events) * Boys 800m Freestyle * Mens 1500m Freestyle * Womens 800m Freestyle * Mens & Womens 400 IM Multi Class Events There are no Qualifying Times for Multi Class events. Swimmers with Disability may also nominate for the 200m & 400m Freestyle and the 200m Individual Medley provided they have achieved the qualifying times for these events listed in the table of qualifying times attached (Appendix B). Clearances Interstate & International Competitors Clearances must be submitted to [email protected] before the nominations closing date. Interstate Interstate swimmers must obtain a clearance from their respective State Association. International International swimmers/teams must supply a letter of clearance from their National Swimming Federation. International swimmers training with clubs in Australia must be nominated under their country name not the Australian club name. Events & Medals All events will be conducted as timed finals. Events will be swum on a seed-entry basis, not in age groups i.e. competitors will be grouped by time rather than by age group. Medals will not be awarded at this meet. Brisbane Aquatic Centre 5
