1 UW-Eau Claire Online Application Step-by-Step Instructions for Intensive English Program (IEP) Students Dear Intensive English Program Students, Thank you for considering UW-Eau Claire! This packet will help you complete your IEP application at UW-Eau Claire. We have provided notes and explanations about each part of the application process. Your first step is to create an online account at: We recommend that you use your name as your Login ID for your account, since it will be easy to remember. Once you begin at Screen 14 (Personal Information), you can save your application at any point, and continue at a later time. Your application will be evaluated after submission of the following documents: 1. Official records from colleges and universities attended showing courses taken and grades assigned each year (in the original language and English translation). Photocopies of official international records are acceptable if they have been certified by an authorized university, government, or public official. These must have officially certified translations (if not in English). 2. Proof of high school graduation 3. English proficiency test score (There is no minimum score. The score is used for preliminary placement. The following tests are accepted: TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, Cambridge FCE or CAE, Trinity. Other tests may also be accepted.) 4. Original Financial Statement and bank documents 5. Official transcripts of all study taken in U.S., including language courses 6. Copy of photo page of your passport Application questions? 4 Screen 5: Create a New Application Select UW-Eau Claire from the menu. Click Next Screen 6: U.S. Citizenship Status If you are a U.S. Citizen, choose Yes. If you are not a U.S. Citizen, choose No. Click Next * If you choose Yes, move on to screen 10. * If you clicked No or Other, move on to the next screen

5 Screen 7: U.S. Residency Status If you need an explanation, click on the blue?. Choose the status that best applies to you. * If you clicked Current Visa Holder (residing in U.S.), move to the next screen * If you clicked a different status, such as Need to Apply for Student Visa go to screen 10. Screen 8: Visa Type Click Next Select your visa type from the menu. Screen 9: Visa Application Will you apply for a student visa? Yes or No

6 Screen 10: Secondary School Select Already graduated, even if you do not have your diploma yet. Click Next Screen 11: Post-Secondary Education Choose the option that best describes your education Click Next Screen 12: Reason for Applying Select Special student at the undergraduate level Click Next

If you are staying for more than one semester, please select the first semester that you will be attending UW-Eau Claire Fall Term (August-December) or Spring Term (January-May) or Summer Term (June-August) Click Next

This indicates that you will complete the Eau Claire, Special, Undergraduate application If information is correct, click on commit to continue your application. If some information is incorrect, click on Previous to review and correct your answers on screens 5-12.

If it is not an option, please write the name of your home university here. Complete this section. If you have ever attended another university or college, click Add another Institution and repeat the above process. Select Next Section to continue
