7 Research objectives Analyze the mobility of tourists with GPStechnology 1 GPS-tracking + Receive information about: The number and types of POI visits, Spending habits, demographic characteristics, travel behavior and needs Integrate GPS-data in a survey Automation of data collection Basic analyses can be directly integrated Evaluation of the 5 longest stays (e.g. restaurant, pauses, attractions) 2 Tablet-based interviews 3 + Novel application Analyze the GPS-data combined with the survey data Including filter criteria to represent the context of the user (travel patterns and behavior, POI visits) Automation of data processing 4 SPSS + ArcGis 7
