Yu can pen a accunt if yu satisfy all f the fllwing requirements: Yu are a persnal custmer (nt a business, cmpany r trust) Yu are aged 18 r ver Yu have an Australian residential address Yu are an Australian resident fr taxatin purpses Yu have an address and Australian mbile phne number (if yu are an existing RAMS custmer and we dn t have this infrmatin already n file, yu can prvide these details when yu apply fr the accunt) Can I pen a accunt in a business, cmpany r trust name, r in the name f a self managed super fund? Accunts cannt be pened in the name f a business r cmpany, in the name f a trustee f a trust r a superannuatin fund, n behalf f a deceased estate, r pursuant t a pwer f attrney. Can I pen a jint accunt? Yes, yu can pen an accunt jintly with ne ther individual. RAMS depsit accunts are limited t 2 accunt hlders. Can I pen a accunt if I m nt an existing RAMS Hme Lan custmer? Yes, yu can pen a accunt if yu are nt an existing RAMS custmer. Can I give smene else authrity t perate n my accunt? Yu cannt authrise anther persn, wh is nt a jint accunt hlder, (fr example yur accuntant) t perate yur RAMS accunts. Can I pen a accunt if I am nt an Australian resident? N, yu cannt pen a accunt if yu are a nn resident. Hw many accunts can I pen? Yu can pen up t a maximum f 10 depsit accunts (inclusive f jint accunts). Sectin 2. Opening a accunt Hw d I apply fr a accunt? If yu are a new custmer, yu can pen yur accunt by ging t RAMS.cm.au and clicking n the Apply buttn and fllwing the prmpts. If yu are an existing RAMS custmer, yu can pen the accunt by lgging int myrams using yur Custmer Identificatin Number (CIN) and passwrd. Frm there simply click n Apply Online in the left hand menu and fllw the prmpts. Yu can pen yur accunt in as little as 1 minute. Page 1

D I need t prvide my Tax File Number (TFN)? Each time yu pen an accunt that earns interest, yu ll be asked if yu wish t prvide yur TFN if nt already prvided. Where yur TFN has been prvided it will be applied t all yur accunts. Prviding us with yur TFN is advisable but nt cmpulsry. Hwever, if yu chse nt t prvide it, we are required t deduct withhlding tax at the highest marginal tax rate plus the Medicare Levy. When dn t I need t prvide a Tax File Number? Depending n yur circumstances yu may be able t claim an exemptin frm quting yur TFN, and withhlding tax will nt be deducted. Yu will need t tell us the type f exemptin yu are claiming. Hw d I prvide/update my TFN? Yu can prvide yur TFN at any time by lgging int myrams and ging t the Settings tab n the left hand menu, then click n My Details. Yu can then prvide yur TFN. Page 2

3 What infrmatin will I get when I pen my accunt? We will send a letter t yur residential address (as a security measure) t cnfirm yur new accunt details. Yu will als receive an cnfirming yur accunt has been pened. Sectin 3. Interest What is the interest rate fr the accunt? Yu can find ut the latest interest rates by visiting RAMS.cm.au Hw is the interest calculated and paid n a accunt? Fr all accunts depsit interest is calculated n the daily clsing balance f yur accunt using the fllwing frmula: Daily clsing balance x Interest rate Fr all accunts, balances in yur accunt n the last day f the mnth, including depsits, but excluding interest psted n the last day f the mnth, will be included in the balance n which interest fr that mnth is calculated. Further details f the interest types that apply can be fund in the terms and cnditins n RAMS.cm.au. Will the interest rate n my accunt change? The interest rate applying t yur accunt is a variable rate and may change frm time t time. Yu can find ut the latest interest rates, including any bnus interest rates that may apply t yur accunt by visiting RAMS.cm.au Hw will I knw if the interest rate n my accunt changes? We will advertise the change in a majr newspaper r we ll advise yu by pst r n later than the day the interest rate change takes affect. Hw des my accunt qualify fr bnus interest? Yu may be eligible t earn bnus interest n yur accunt if yu meet certain the eligibility criteria including: Yu accunt remains pen during the entire mnth; and Yu depsit a minimum f $200 per mnth int the accunt; and Yu make n withdrawals during the mnth; and The accunt balance des nt drp belw $0 at any time during the mnth; and The accunt balance des nt exceed $500,000 at any time during the mnth. If yu meet all f the eligibility criteria abve, yu will earn an additinal bnus interest rate. Terms and Cnditins Where can I view the accunt Terms and Cnditins? Yu can view the terms and cnditins at RAMS.cm.au Page 3

4 Sectin 5. Statements When are statements issued fr my accunt? Statements are issued every six mnths, unless yu have requested statements mre frequently and they will be made available electrnically via myrams. Fr example, if yu pen yur accunt n 13 February, yur first statement will be available t view n myrams at the end f August, and then six mnthly. Yu will receive an t yur nminated address when yur statement is made available fr viewing via myrams. Yu shuld keep yur address in myrams up t date t ensure yu receive this and ther imprtant ntificatins prmptly. Can I view my statements nline? Yes. If yu pened yur depsit accunt n and frm 12 May 2012 yu will autmatically receive electrnic statements (e-statement). RAMS will advise yu via when yu e-statement is available fr viewing via myrams. Yu shuld keep yur address in myrams up t date t ensure yu receive this and ther imprtant ntificatins prmptly. If yu pened yur depsit accunt prir t 12 May 2012 r yu hld a mrtgage accunt, yu can pt-in fr e-statements nline via myrams. Simply lgin t myrams, then click n Statements then Statement Optins and fllw the prmpts. Sectin 6. Depsits and Withdrawals What is the minimum and maximum amunt I can depsit int a accunt? There is n minimum r maximum depsit amunt. Hwever if yur balance exceeds $5,000,000 yu will nt earn interest n any part f yur balance. Hw can I depsit mney int my accunt? Yu can depsit funds int yur accunt by: Electrnic Funds Transfer yu can transfer funds frm any Australian bank accunt. Yu will need t prvide the BSB number fr RAMS (which is ) and yur accunt number. Can I request RAMS t direct debit funds frm my accunt with anther financial institutin? Direct debit facilities are nt available n accunt. Can I send mney frm an verseas bank accunt int my accunt? Yu cannt send funds frm an verseas bank accunt int yur accunt. Can I depsit cheques? Yes. Yu can pst a bank r persnal cheque payable t the accunt hlders (fr jint accunts the cheque must be payable t ne r bth f the accunt hlders) and drawn n an Australian financial institutin. Sectin 7. Payments and transfers What are the minimum and maximum amunts I can transfer frm my accunt? A daily transfer limit per custmer per business day applies t selected transactins perfrmed in myrams. Hw many days des it take fr a payment r transfer t reach anther bank? Prvided yu are transferring cleared funds: Transferring funds between yur wn RAMS accunts generally ccurs immediately. Transferring funds t ther RAMS accunts nt within yur wn prfile (i.e. 3rd party accunts) are generally prcessed vernight. The transfer must generally be cmpleted befre the cut-ff time f 4:00 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. Transfers t accunts with ther Australian financial institutins are generally prcessed vernight. Can I apply fr a higher daily transfer limit? The default 'Pay Anyne' daily limit is $5,000 per custmer per business day and cannt be changed. Shuld yu need t transfer mre than $5,000 yu can call RAMS n 13 RAMS, that s , prvided the payee is already in yur pay anyne list. Can I set up a regular payment? Yes. Yu can create a regular transfer at any time via myrams. T d this, lgin t myrams and select Transfers n the menu t transfer funds. Can I cancel a payment r transfer? Yes. Yu can cancel a future dated transfer, ne business day befre the transfer is due (i.e. transfers nt due fr payment tday). T cancel a payment r Page 7

Can I mdify a payment r transfer? Yes. Yu can mdify a future dated transfer r payment, n later than ne business day befre the transfer is due (i.e. transfers nt due fr payment tday). Yu can nly transfer mney t an Australian bank accunt. When is the myrams website available? We try t make myrams available at all times but this may nt always be pssible, fr example during times where we will carry ut system maintenance. What details d I need t make a payment r transfer t anther persn s (r business) accunt? In rder t make a transfer t anther RAMS accunt r t anther Australian financial institutin, yu ll need t prvide the fllwing infrmatin: BSB number (exactly six digits in length) that identifies the financial institutin, The accunt number f the persn yu wish t pay (this must be numeric), and The accunt name f the persn yu wish t pay. Can I use myrams t make payments r transfers t accunts at ther banks? Yes. accunt allws 'Pay Anyne' access which enables yu t transfer funds t any ther RAMS accunt(s) and any ther Australian financial institutin. Hwever, when yu transfer funds fr the first time t smene new yu ll need t cnfirm the ne time passwrd that we ll send t yur Australian mbile phne via SMS. Can I have a debit card? Debt cards are nt available n accunts. Sectin 8. Fees and charges Are there any fees n a accunt? There are currently n fees r charges n a accunt. Sectin 9. Service and supprt Where can I find my new accunt number? We will send yu a letter t cnfirm yur new accunt number. Alternatively, yu can lgin t myrams and view yur accunt number nline. Page 8

Hw d I change my pstal and/r residential address? Yu can change yur pstal address by lgging int myrams and ging t the Settings tab n the left hand menu, and then click n My Details. Yu will be sent an SMS Cde with ne time passwrd t yur Australian mbile phne. Yu will be required t enter the SMS Cde int myrams and, if accepted yu can update yur address details. Please nte nly Australian pstal addresses are accepted by the system. If yu're calling frm utside f Australia, please call us n between 7.00am and 11pm (AEST) 7 days a week. Can I make transfers t and frm my accunt when I'm verseas? Yes. Yu'll need an Australian mbile phne which is registered t yur RAMS accunts. Yu ll als need t enable glbal raming n yur Australian mbile phne. Cntact yur service prvider t arrange this. Hw lng will it take my cheque t clear? Cheques depsited int yur accunt will be subject t clearance. This usually takes 3 business days frm the date the cheque is depsited int yur accunt. Hwever, in certain circumstances may be extended up t a further 2 business days. Hw d I prvide a nickname fr my accunts? Yu can prvide a nickname fr yur accunts by lgging int myrams and ging t the Settings tab n the left hand menu, and then click n Name my Accunts. Select the accunt yu wish t name by clicking n Edit. Hw d I clse my accunt? Yu can clse yur accunt by calling us n 13 RAMS, that s What are the RAMS Custmer Service Centre s hurs f peratin? The hurs f peratin fr the RAMS Custmer Service Centre are Mnday t Sunday, 7.00am t 11pm Can I access my accunts using my mbile phne? Yes, yu can access myrams using certain mbile phnes (nce yu have cmpleted the new user prcess using a cmputer). Page 9

RAMS emplys a range f security measures t help ensure a secure nline experience with myrams and help prtect yur persnal accunt infrmatin. Yu can read mre abut sme f security measures by visiting RAMS.cm.au/myRAMS Sectin 10. Financial Claims Scheme What is the Financial Claims Scheme? The Financial Claims Scheme (FCS) prvides a guarantee fr depsits f eligible authrised depsit taking institutins (ADIs) including Australian banks, building scieties and credit unins. The Australian Prudential Regulatin Authrity (APRA) is respnsible fr the administratin f the FCS and fr making payments t accunt hlders in the event that APRA decides t place an ADI in liquidatin. If that ccurs, yu may be entitled t payment under the FCS. Payments under the FCS are subject t a limit fr each depsitr. Infrmatin abut the FCS can be btained frm the APRA website at r thrugh the APRA htline Are RAMS accunts cvered under the guarantee? Yes, RAMS accunts are cvered under the Gvernment guarantee, as RAMS accunts are issued by Westpac Banking Crpratin. I have multiple depsit accunts acrss RAMS and Westpac. Hw des the limit wrk? The limit applies per custmer per institutin. That is, the limit applies t the cmbined ttal amunt f funds yu have with Westpac, St.Gerge, Bank SA, Bank f Melburne and RAMS. Page 10
