It consists of a set of modules. Each module has been designed to cover different areas within the home automation field: emergency simulation module, safety module and energy management module. Modules: HP. Home Power Module. HP-EM. Home Emergency Module. HP-SE. Home Security Module. HP-EN. Home Energy Module. Each module consists of a series of wireless devices: sensors, smart relays, switches, lamps, etc. Besides, the AD28A includes a software to develop several control configurations depending on the user's needs. Different virtual scenes, including sensors, actuators, energy meters, control relays, etc., can be developed with the control and programming software. The AD28A is a flexible house automation system, that is to say, the user will be able to develop several programs to simulate different real situations: emergency states, safety conditions and smart energy management. The versatility of the AD28A is based, to a great extent, on the Zig Bee communications protocol. One of the main characteristics of this protocol is the fact that it does not need any control wiring, since all sensors and actuators communicate with each other through radio frequency, behaving as nodes and transmitters. Finally, the AD28A includes a set of practical exercises which allow the student to learn the different possibilities that current home automation systems offer from the safety, energy control and home automation points of view. 3 SPECIFICATIONS The complete application AD28A is formed by a set of modules and a software to develop control configurations: Modules: HP. Home Power Module: The aim of this module is to protect and supply electricity to the other modules which make up the AD28A, apart from measuring the general consumption, controlling the opening and closing of the supply remotely and, finally, operating the modules remotely. This module includes the following elements: RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker). Energy Meter. Output terminals for the power supply. (Zmeter) Wireless energy meter able to open and close the power previously programmed. (ZRC) Wireless switches to control the relays. Power input and output circuits (feeders). Input and output terminals are located at the right-hand side. They can be directly connected to the residual current circuit breaker s outlet. The energy meter will operate as a bridge between the feeders and the RCCB and will be able to measure the general energy consumption and close/open the main power circuit. At the same time, it has two wireless controls placed just below the meter. Previously programmed through a software, their function is controlling the opening and closing of linked circuits (meter and smart relays) HP-EM-. Home Emergency Module: This module includes the following elements: Gas solenoid valve. (Zlight) Wireless relay to control the water solenoid valve.. (Zgas) Carbon monoxide sensor. Water solenoid valve. (Zleak) Flood sensor.. Each sensor (Zgas and Zleak) has a smart relay which can be programmed through a software. These relays will drive both solenoid valves when the emergency conditions pre-established by the user are fulfilled: a certain level of Carbon Monoxide, presence of water, etc. HP-SE. Home Security Module: This module consists of several sensors and actuators to simulate intrusions and dissuasive states. This module includes the following elements: Motion panel: (Zmove) Motion sensor. The motion sensor, associated to the corresponding relay through programming, will drive the dissuasive lamp when a certain level of presence is detected. (Zlight) Wireless relay to control the lamp.. Lamp. Intrusion panel: (Zlook) Intrusion sensor. The intrusion sensor simulates the forced opening of a window or door. This situation will cause the closing of the relay associated to the sensor and will trigger the siren. (Zlight) Wireless relay to control the siren.. Siren. HP-EN. Home Energy Module: This module consists of three panels: Inputs and outputs panel: it is made up of wireless switches associated through programming with two double exit relays to simulate states. Energy management panel: it consists of a temperature sensor and a lighting sensor. Such sensors, together with their corresponding relays, simulate conditioning situations depending on the programmed temperature and lighting levels. Lights panel: it indicates the opening and closing states of the relay s outlets. Thus, the user can verify when the sensors are working and can supervise their programming. Control and programming software: Through the software the user can carry out different operations as scheduling switching schemes, checking the relays state, directly control of smart relays, configuration of virtual scenes with different sensors and actuators, etc. All these operations can be carry out remotely. Computer Aided Instruction System Application Instructor Student/ Application With no physical connection between the application and computer, this complete package consists on an Instructor (INS/SOF) totally integrated with the Student/Application. Both are interconnected so that the teacher knows at any moment what is the theoretical and practical knowledge of the students. These, on the other hand, get a virtual instructor who helps them to deal with all the information on the subject of study. INS/SOF. Classroom Management Package (Instructor ). The Instructor has a whole range of options, among them: - Organize Students by Classes and Groups. - Create easily new entries or delete them. - Create data bases with student information. - Analyze results and make statistical comparisons. - Print reports. - Develop own examinations. - Detect student s progress and difficulties....and many other facilities. Exercises: divided by thematic areas and chapters to check out that the theory has been understood. Guided Practices: presents several practices to be done with the application, showing how to complete the exercises and practices. Exams: set of questions presented to test the knowledge obtained. MUAD is a continuous data acquisition system with virtual instrumentation, that measures, analyzes and represents the parameters involved in the process. MUAD allows voltage and current acquisition and measurement, data processing, frequency spectrum and all the functions of a digital oscilloscope. We easily connect the Electric Power Interface Box (EPIB) to the application with the supplied cables (there are several connection points placed for it). The EPIB is connected to the PC through the Data Acquisition Board (DAB), and by using the Data Acquisition software with virtual instrumentation, the student can get results from the undertaken experiment/practice, see them on the screen and work with them.
