3 The WVU Medicine Brand We launched WVU Medicine, a new systemwide brand: All WVU Medicine hospitals and clinics across the state and region are using the new logo. We spent the year celebrating the new brand at these facilities. The consistency of brand is sending a strong message to the public that they re being cared for in WVU Medicine facilities by WVU Medicine providers. We re focused on ensuring our patients receive the same quality of care and experience at all WVU Medicine facilities.

5 The WVU Medicine Brand Potomac Valley Hospital Celebration Carl Liebig, MD (right), 93, a long-time family medicine provider at PVH, gets ready to raise the WVU flag as a symbol of the hospital s affiliation with WVU Medicine. PVH is built on land once owned by Dr. Liebig. 37 Making a Difference We transitioned to Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield as a third-party administrator of WVU Medicine health insurance (effective Jan. 1, 2016), which helps keep employees in the state for care. We offered benefits to legally married same-sex couples.

As a Partner in Healthy Living with BOPARC, supported a scholarship program that provides financial assistance for summer camps. Held annual September Stride 5K with proceeds benefitting patients with cystic fibrosis. Supported inaugural Morgantown Marathon (serving as title sponsor in 2016). Supported local United Way efforts, including workplace campaign and Day of Caring.
