3 OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER NOTES.... So far, so Good: Tonight, the Thunder will look for a sixth consecutive home victory in the season finale versus the Detroit Pistons. Despite falling to the Pacers and Pelicans on consecutive days this past week, the Thunder still maintains the second best record in the NBA (San Antonio). After Portland s loss on Apr. 4, the Thunder secured a fourth straight Northwest Division title. The Thunder is one of just three teams (Miami and San Antonio) to win a division title in each of the last four seasons. In a league of his own: During the Month of January, Kevin Durant averaged 35.9 points per game while shooting 54.9% from the field (highest scoring month of Durant s career). During the month, Durant recorded his fifth career triple-double on Jan. 25 at Philadelphia to go along with his career-best 54 point performance versus Golden State on Jan. 17 and four additional 4+ point outings. Durant became just the third player in the last 3 years to score 3+ points in 12 consecutive games and the streak finally came to an end on Jan. 31 at Brooklyn during a game in which the Thunder amassed a 32 point lead and Durant did not play in the fourth quarter (Tracy McGrady scored 3+ points in 14 consecutive games in March/April of 23 and Kobe Bryant recorded a 16 game streak from Jan.-Feb. of 23). If Durant were to maintain his current 31.9 point per game average, it would represent the highest scoring average in the NBA since Kobe Bryant averaged 35.4 ppg during the 25-6 season. The chart below highlights the rarity of Durant s current averages. Most consecutive 25 point games (last 5 years) Current Kevin Durant Michael Jordan Spencer Haywood Kevin Durant Bob McAdoo Oscar Robertson 29 Results with Russell: After missing the previous 27 games (right knee), Russell Westbrook returned to the Thunder lineup on Mar. 2 vs. Miami. In his first two games after returning to the lineup, Westbrook averaged 13.5 points on 25.% shooting to go along with 4. assists. However, in his last 18 games, Westbrook is averaging 23.3 points on 47.7% shooting to go along with 7.2 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 1.9 steals. On Mar. 4 versus Philadelphia, Westbrook recorded his eighth career triple-double in just 2+ minutes of action to become the second fastest player to register a tripledouble (Jim Tucker recorded a triple-double in 17 minutes of action on 2/2/55 as a member of the Syracuse Nationals). Westbrook is one of ONLY TWO PLAYERS (LeBron James) in the NBA this season to average 21+ points, 6+ assists and 5+ rebounds (min. 4 games). Better With Age: After the 27-8 season in which Oklahoma City won 2 games after a 3-29 start, the Thunder proceeded to increase its winning percentage in each subsequent season. With a 6-22 record during the season, Oklahoma City became just the second team in NBA history (Boston Celtics; ) to increase its winning percentage for five consecutive seasons (while maintaining a winning percentage of.7 or better in two of those seasons). The chart to the right illustrates the development of the Thunder program through the years. Season Winning % Playoff Finish (58-23) TBD (6-22) Advanced to Conference Semifinals (47-19) Advanced to NBA Finals (55-27) Advanced to Conference Finals (5-32) Lost in first round (23-59) Missed the playoffs Ibaka is Surging: So far this season, Serge Ibaka has once again displayed signs of continued development. Ibaka recently scored in double figures in 17 straight games (longest streak of his career). Already this season, Ibaka has recorded 28 double-doubles (posted 15 double-doubles from all of last season). Ibaka is currently averaging career-highs in points (15.2 ppg) and rebounds (8.7 rpg). For a three game stretch earlier this season (1/16 at HOU 1/19 vs. SAC) Ibaka recorded 2+ points in three straight games for the very first time in his career. Ibaka currently ranks 2 nd in blocked shots (2.66 bpg) and prior to the Thunder s game on Dec. 3, he had recorded three or more blocks in eight consecutive games for the second time in his career (strung together 11 such games during the season). Ibaka is one of two players {Andrew Bogut (8 games with three+ blocks from 2/28/21-3/17/21)} to record such a stretch since the start of the 25-6 season. What a run: On Apr. 6 in Phoenix, Kevin Durant surpassed Michael Jordan s modern day record by scoring 25 or more points in 41 consecutive games (Durant s prior career-long streak was 29 games from 12/22/29-2/23/21). After scoring 23 points on Apr. 8 in Sacramento (Durant did not play in the 4 th quarter as OKC built a 24 point lead) the streak came to an end, but not after a run or 25+ or more points that spanned more than three months of the NBA season. Durant had last failed to score 25 or more points on Jan. 5 versus Boston. Durant s 41 game streak represents the third longest single season streak in NBA history (Oscar Roberson scored 25+ in 46 straight games during the season and Wilt Chamberlain scored 25+ points in all 8 regular season games during the season). Most consecutive 25 point games (last 5 years) Kevin Durant Michael Jordan Spencer Haywood Kevin Durant Bob McAdoo Oscar Robertson 29 Player of the Month: Kevin Durant was named the Western Conference Player of the Month for March, his fourth such POM honor this season. During the month of March, Durant averaged 34.5 points per game, on 51.7% shooting. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Durant is the first player to average 33.+ ppg in three successive months since Michael Jordan accomplished the feat during the season. Durant s 11 career POM awards are the most in the Western Conference since the start of the 29-1 season. Just Another Back-2-Back: During the season, the Thunder played in 15 sets of back-to-backs. After defeating the Kings and Clippers on consecutive nights during the second week of April, the Thunder claimed seven sweeps of a back-to-backs during the season. On the year, OKC went 12-3 on the first night and 8-7 on the second night of its back-to-back pairings.

4 Bouncing Back: After falling to the Pelicans on Monday night, the Thunder will once again look to respond this evening versus the Pistons. In what has become a staple for the Thunder during the past few seasons, Oklahoma City has proven to be incredibly resilient in those games played after a loss. Dating back to the start of the season, OKC has posted a record in bounce-back games (second best record in the NBA; San Antonio). 5+ Wins: The Thunder secured its 51st win of the season Mar. 21 in Toronto as Kevin Durant scored 51 points in a double-overtime victory over the Raptors. After trailing by eight points with 49 second left in the second OT, Durant connected on a 3-point field goal with 1.7 seconds left to secure the come-from-behind victory. With 5+ wins now on the year, Oklahoma City joins the San Antonio Spurs as the only other franchise with a.61 winning percentage (equivalent to 5 wins) in each of the last five straight seasons. A real winner: In the last 39 games, Derek Fisher is shooting 44.2% from 3-point range ( FGs). After the Thunder defeated the Spurs on Apr. 3, Derek Fisher notched his 1, th career victory (includes regular season and playoffs). Fisher maintains the second most regular season victories among active NBA players win 852 wins (trails only Tim Duncan). Getting Defensive: As one might expect, team defense is always critical to overall team success. So far this season, OKC has limited its opponents to the third worst field goal shooting percentage in the NBA (43.5%). The Thunder is currently 18-2 this season when holding the opposition to sub 4.% field goal shooting. Dating back to the start of last season, the Thunder is 69-5 when holding their opponent to 42.% or less field goal shooting. During the season, Oklahoma City held the opposition 96.5 points on 42.5% shooting. With respect to opponent field goal percentage, OKC held their opponents to the second worst field goal percentage in the NBA. OKC went 21-1 last season when limiting the opposition to sub 4.% field goal shooting. Boards are the Barometer: As one might expect, Oklahoma City has traditionally found its greatest success when outrebounding the opposition. So far this season OKC has gone 43-8 this year when outrebounding the opposition (including 17-2 when outrebounding the opponent by 1 or more). OKC currently ranks seventh in the NBA in rebounding (44.7 rebounds per game), despite not having a player on the roster rank among the NBA s top-2 rebounders. On Jan. 31, the Thunder limited the Brooklyn Nets to an all-time NBA low of just 17 rebounds. Last season, OKC went 44-8 when outrebounding the opposition (16-14 when OKC failed to outrebound opponent) and a perfect 12- when outrebounding the opponent by 1 or more. Road Warriors: The Thunder concluded its road schedule by going away from Chesapeake Energy Arena. Throughout the season, the Thunder strung together a 6-game and an 8-game road win streak (the eight straight road wins were the most in the Oklahoma City era). In fact, it had been over a decade since the OKC franchise last won eight consecutive road games (last won eight straight road games from 1/24/2 2/27/2). Despite losing to the Pacers on Apr. 14, the Thunder went 12-3 on the road this season against Eastern Conference opponents. The Thunder s.61 road winning percentage was the second best in the NBA this past season (San Antonio). Team Basketball: On 22 occasions this season (Most recently: Apr. 8 at SAC), the Thunder prevailed during a game in which five players scored in double figures. So far this year, the Thunder is 22-4 when five players score 1+ points. Last season, the Thunder found a tremendous level of success when five or more players scored 1+ points. In fact, OKC recorded a 28-3 record when five or more players score 1+ points (OKC started season 14- when five players scored 1 or more), including a perfect 5- mark when 6+ players score in double-figures. Better Then Ever: In his seventh NBA season, Kevin Durant has once again continued to improve as a player. A year after becoming just the second player in NBA history (Larry Bird) to average 28+ points while shooting better than 5.% from the field, 4.% from 3-point range and 9.% from the free throw line, Durant has once again found a way to improve his game during the season. Durant is currently averaging career-highs in not only points (31.9 ppg), but also in assists (5.5 apg). On 16 instances this season, Durant has scored 3+ points while registering 1+ rebounds (Durant accomplished the feat just four times during all of last season). During the Thunder s come-from-behind victory over the Timberwolves on Jan. 4 (trailed by as many as 13 points in the 4 th quarter), Kevin Durant posted a then season-high 48 points, 23 of which came in the 4 th quarter (represents career-high for Durant in the 4 th quarter). 25 for Brooks: After defeating the Atlanta Hawks earlier this season on Dec. 1, Thunder Head Coach, Scott Brooks claimed his 25 th career victory in his 41 st game. Brooks is now one of five coaches in the NBA to own 25+ wins with their current franchise (Mike Brown, Rick Carlisle, Gregg Popovich and Erik Spoelstra). Fewest Games to 25 Wins, Coaches Beginning Career since (per STATS Inc.): Phil Jackson(346) Pat Riley (348) Billy Cunningham(363) K.C. Jones (367) Rick Adelman(373) Mike Brown (378) Erik Spoelstra (382) Paul Westphal (384) Stan Van Gundy (391) Rudy Tomjanovich (392) Scott Brooks (41) 1-: Prior to falling to the Wizards on Feb. 1 in Washington D.C., the Thunder reeled-off 1 consecutive victories. In those 1 games, Oklahoma City averaged 11.2 points on 52.5% shooting and won by an average margin of 12.1 points per game. The streak was the second longest in the Oklahoma City era (the Thunder won 12 straight games last season from 11/24/12 12/19/12). Through the first 46 games this season, the Thunder amassed three win streaks in excess of eight games to become just the fourth team in the last eight seasons to accomplish such a feat. Winning Big: After claiming a 22-point victory over the Pelicans on Apr. 11, the Thunder once again secured a double-digit margin of victory. On 32 occasions this season, the Thunder has prevailed by double-figures and on 12 instances, the Thunder has won by 2 or more. During the season Oklahoma City registered a league-leading point differential of 9.2 points per game {largest point differential since the 27-8 Celtics (1.3 point differential)}. Dating back to 198, only six teams have finished with a larger point differential greater than what the Thunder posted last season.

5 Bench Production: Prior to Reggie Jackson entering the Thunder s starting line-up (after Russell Westbrook underwent knee surgery on Dec. 27), the Thunder s bench had been producing at a clip that had never been seen in the Oklahoma City era. Through the first 28 games of the season, Oklahoma City s bench averaged 34.6 points per game, representing the highest scoring output for the Thunder reserves during the OKC era. Through the Thunder s Christmas game on Dec. 25, the duo of Jackson and Lamb had combined to average 22. points per game off the bench. Thunder All-Stars Shine Bright: During All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, the Oklahoma City Thunder organization was once again well represented. Led by Scott Brooks and the Thunder coaching staff, the West All-Stars built an 18-point lead, but eventually fell to the Eastern Conference squad. Making his fifth All-Star appearance (fourth start), Kevin Durant recorded a game-high (tying) 38 points to go along with 1 rebounds in 35 minutes of action. Durant is the first player in All-Star history to score 3+ points in four straight All-Star games. Durant has now scored 153 points in his five all star games, the most of any player in NBA history during his first five all All-Star appearances. Thunder rookie Steven Adams participated is the Rising Stars Challenge as part of All-Star Weekend. In 18 minutes, Adams went 3-of-3 from the field for six points to go along with four blocked shots. Additionally, Thunder guard Reggie Jackson participated in the Skills Challenge part of All-Star Saturday Night. Home Cooking: Since arriving in Oklahoma City during 28, the Thunder has always taken pride in defending its home court. This season, OKC began a perfect 13- at Chesapeake Energy Arena (best home start for the Thunder in the Oklahoma City era) before falling to the Raptors on Dec. 22. The OKC franchise matched its best all-time home start (team also went 13- top open the season). The Thunder s 13 game home winning streak represented the second longest streak in the Oklahoma City era (won 14 games from 1/6/12 3/7/12). During the season, the Thunder went 34-7 at Chesapeake Energy Arena (4 th best home record in the NBA) while registering a 13. point per game differential (largest home point differential in the NBA). During the season (26-7 at home), the Thunder finished behind only Miami (28-5) and San Antonio (28-5) in the race for the NBA s best home record. Making them Look Free: In what has become a staple for the Thunder program, OKC has once again been very productive at the free throw line this season. Through 81 games, OKC is the second best free throw shooting team in the NBA (currently shooting 8.7% from the FT line). During the season, the Thunder not only led the NBA in free throw shooting, but OKC actually finished the year as the third best free throw shooting team in NBA history. In 82 regular season games, Oklahoma City converted at an 82.8% clip (1,819-2,196) from the charity stripe. As a point of reference, the best all-time free throw shooting percentage for an entire season in NBA history is 83.2% (Boston Celtics; ) followed by the 22-3 Mavericks who shot 82.9% from the line. In addition to the Thunder s accuracy, Oklahoma City was effective in getting to the free throw line at a high rate. When the dust settled this past season, Oklahoma City attempted the second most free throws in the NBA (L.A. Lakers). During the Thunder s OT win against Dallas on 1/18, Kevin Durant went a perfect 21-of-21 from the free throw line. His performance represented the second best free throw shooting effort in NBA history (Dominique Wilkins went 23-of-23 from the line in The Thunder led the NBA in free throw shooting during three consecutive seasons (21-11 through seasons) and during the season, OKC shot a league-best 82.3% from the free throw line (5 th highest percentage in NBA history). During the 29-1 season Durant recorded 756 free throw makes, an all-time OKC Thunder franchise record and the 6 th most in NBA history for a single season. Durant s 756 free throws made were the most for a single-season since Michael Jordan recorded 833 free throw makes during the season. KD is the ONLY player in NBA history to convert 7+ free throws while shooting 9.% or better. OKC is Fan Friendly: The Thunder once again played in front of a packed-house to open the season as fans continue to fill Chesapeake Energy Arena. After registering sellouts during all 41 home games last season, the Thunder has now recorded sellouts in 129 consecutive regular season home outings and 154 games overall when including the postseason. Fans in attendance this season will once again enjoyed the improvements made to the Chesapeake Energy Arena as part of a taxpayer funded initiative passed in March 28. Thanks to the publically funded initiative, the team s arena boasts a state-of-the art scoreboard, new terrace suites, an updated main concourse with new concession stands, a new Sunset Lounge on the Club Level and a first-class courtside club. 5/4/9: Last season, Kevin Durant became a member of the exclusive 5/4/9 club by shooting better than 5.% from the field, 4.% from 3-point range and 9.% from the free throw line. Durant actually became just the second player in NBA history (Larry Bird; season) to average 28+ points while going 5/4/9 during the year. The chart below illustrates those players to finish a season going 5/4/9 (min 15 FT and 3FG attempts). To highlight Durant s efficiency, he became just the second player in NBA history (Charles Barkley; ) to average 28+ points on fewer than 18 field goal attempts. Player Season G FG% 3P% FT% Pts Kevin Durant OKC Steve Nash 9-1 Pho Steve Nash 8-9 Pho Steve Nash 7-8 Pho Dirk Nowitzki 6-7 Dal Steve Nash 5-6 Pho Reggie Miller Ind Mark Price Cle Larry Bird Bos Larry Bird Bos Block Party: As has become the norm in recent seasons, the Thunder is once again among the top shot-blocking teams in the NBA (OKC currently ranks second in the NBA with 6.1 bpg). Led by Serge Ibaka s 3.3 blocks per game (tops in the NBA), OKC averaged 7.61 blocks per game last year. After leading the league in total blocked shots for a third consecutive season, Ibaka joins Dikembe Mutombo ( ) as the only other player to accomplish such a feat in NBA history. During the season, the Thunder not only led the NBA in blocked shots (8.17 bpg), but Oklahoma City recorded the highest block per game total in the NBA in nearly 2 years. The Denver Nuggets team (8.37 bpg) was the last group to average more blocks than the OKC team. During , Ibaka led the NBA while setting an all-time franchise record with a 3.65 block per game average (most blocks per game since Theo Ratliff recorded 3.74 bpg during the 2-1 season). To put a bit more perspective on Ibaka s accomplishment; with a total of 241 blocks during the season, Ibaka recorded only 19 fewer blocks than the entire Nets team that year. During the Thunder s game versus the Nuggets on 2/19/12, Ibaka set a franchise record by blocking 11 shots en route to his first career triple-double. Playoff Success: After defeating the Houston Rockets in the opening round of the 213 playoffs, the Thunder became the ONLY Western Conference team to advance past the first round in each of the last three seasons (Miami also accomplished the feat in the Eastern Conference). Adams in the Family: Throughout his first NBA season, Thunder rookie Steven Adams has been effective on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. After recording his first career double-double with 17 points and 1 rebounds on Nov. 8 at Detroit (first double-double for a Thunder rookie since Serge Ibaka accomplished the feat on 2/2/1 vs. TOR), Adams finds himself ranking ninth among rookies in rebounding (4.1) and eighth in blocks (.71).

6 A Baker s Dozen: After defeating the Chicago Bulls on Dec. 19, the Thunder improved to 13- at home this season, becoming the first team in the NBA to do so since the Cleveland Cavaliers accomplished the feat in 28 (opened the season 23- at home). The Thunder jumped-out to its best home start in the Oklahoma City era (the Thunder had never gone better than 3- at home to begin a season) and the 13- home start to the season equaled the longest in the all-time history of the franchise (the OKC franchise started the season 13-). By defeating the Timberwolves at home on Dec. 1, the OKC franchise claimed a sweep of a six-plus game homestand for just the second time in the all-time history of the franchise (swept sevengame homestand from 12/3/77 1/15/78). 66ers Connection: Once again during the season, the Thunder s D-League affiliate, the Tulsa 66ers proved to be a vital part of the player development process for the Thunder franchise. Since the Professional Basketball Club, LLC. purchased the Tulsa 66ers in 28, Tulsa has seen 14 different Thunder players compete as a member of the 66ers. On Nov. 1 of this past year, the 66ers selected eight players in the 213 D-League Draft, including top overall selection, Grant Jarrett (the Thunder secured the NBA draft rights to Jarrett during the 213 NBA Draft). So far this season, Andre Roberson has been assigned to the 66ers on eight occasions. Additionally, the Thunder has twice signed Reggie Williams to a 1-day contract in addition to signing Mustafa Shakur to a 1-day contract. On Apr. 7 the Thunder signed rookie Grant Jerrett to a contract. Jerrett s signing represents the ninth call-up all time between the 66ers and the Thunder. Best in the West: During the season, the Thunder posted a record of 6-22 as the club finished atop the Western Conference after capturing a third straight Northwest Division title. Oklahoma City is one of just two teams in the NBA to currently maintain a.6 or better winning percentage in each of the last four full seasons (San Antonio Spurs). January 31 in Brooklyn: After leading by as many as 32 points, the Thunder recorded a 25-point road victory on Jan. 31 after holding the Nets to an All-Time NBA-low of just 17 rebounds. During the game, the Thunder led by 28 points at halftime (second largest halftime road lead in the OKC era) before going onto finish the night shooting 63.6% from the field (highest field goal % shooting game in the NBA this season and a Thunder record during the OKC era). The Thunder defeated the Nets in large part due to a combined shooting performance of 22-of-24 from Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka. Ibaka s perfect 12-for-12 shooting night is a Thunder record (Kevin Durant held the previous record after shooting 9-for-9 on 2/1/9 at SAC). One of a Kind Performance Really: In the Thunder s outing on Dec. 1 versus the Timberwolves, Kevin Durant delivered a performance that had never been seen before. On the night, Durant recorded his fourth career triple-double with 32 points, 1 rebounds and a career-high 12 assists. By also adding four blocks and four steals, Durant becomes the first player with 32+ points, 1+ rebounds, 12+ assists, 4+ steals and 4+ blocks in the same game since blocks and steals became official stats during the season. Christmas Day: In the first meeting of the season between New York and Oklahoma City, the Thunder claimed a victory on Christmas Day in Madison Square Garden. The 29-point win represented the largest margin of victory for a visiting team in the more than 2 Christmas Day games played in NBA history. Despite not playing in the 4 th quarter, Russell Westbrook became the eighth player to record a triple-double on Christmas Day in NBA history. Westbrook joined John Havlicek (1967) and LeBron James (21) as the only players to record a road triple-double on Christmas. Comeback for the Record Books: After surrendering a season-high 73 first half points to the Rockets on Jan. 16, the Thunder responded by limiting Houston to an all-time franchise-low of just 19 points in the second half. In the second half, the Thunder limited the Rockets to 19.4% shooting as Houston shot -of-14 from 3-point range. The Rockets became the first team in NBA history to not score 1 points after recording 7+ points in the first half and the -54 point scoring differential from one half to the other was the largest in NBA history. Scoring Leader: With 2,28 points scored during the regular season, Kevin Durant led the NBA in total points scored for a fourth consecutive season. Durant joins Michael Jordan (11x), Wilt Chamberlain (7x), Kobe Bryant (4x) and George Gervin (4x) as the only players in NBA history to accomplish such a feat. During the season, Durant (28.1) finished behind only Carmel Anthony (28.7 ppg) in the race for the league s scoring title (based on points scored per game). During the 29-1 season, Durant became the youngest scoring champ in NBA history (21 years & 197 days). Most Consecutive Scoring Titles (based on ppg) Michael Jordan Wilt Chamberlain Kevin Durant Michael Jordan George Gervin Bob McAdoo Neil Johnston George Mikan Sweet 6: With a victory versus the Sacramento Kings in the final days of the regular season, the Thunder claimed a 6 win season for the first time in the Oklahoma City era. In the all-time history of the Thunder franchise, the team had recorded 6 or more wins three times previously, with the most recent occurrence coming during the season (61-21). To highlight the rarity of a 6 win season, in the past 2 seasons, 16 NBA franchises have failed to record a single season with 6 wins. Per the Elias Sports Bureau, the Thunder became the fourth youngest team to win 6 games in NBA history (weighted by minutes played). Players to average 23+ points, 7+ assists and 5+ rebounds (since 1992) Player Season Averages Russell Westbrook ppg 7.4 apg 5.2 rpg LeBron James (6x) MR: ppg 7. apg 7.5 rpg Chris Paul ppg 11. apg 5.5rpg Dwyane Wade ppg 7.5 apg 5. rpg Gary Payton ppg 8.9 apg 6.5 rpg A select few: During the season, Russell Westbrook once again continued his development as evidenced by joining a select class by averaging 23.2 points (ranked 6 th in the NBA), 5.2 rebounds, 7.4 assists (ranked 7 th in NBA) and 1.77 steals (ranked 9 th in NBA). The chart to the left illustrates those players to hit the benchmarks during the past 2 years.
