Milwaukee led the NBA in points in the paint on the season with an average of 50.6 per game. The Bucks also put up 60+ points in the paint in a league-leading 16 games in The Bucks scored a season-high 70 points in the paint vs. Orlando on 4/1 and became one of only nine teams to score over 70 points in the paint in a game this season. Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged career highs in nearly every statistical category this season. His 16.9 points, 50.6 percent shooting, 7.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.4 blocks, 1.2 steals per game all marked career bests. Khris Middleton paced the Bucks in scoring on the season, averaging a team-high and career-best 18.2 points. He scored 20+ points in 32 games this season and 30+ points in five contests after doing so 22 and two times in his previous three NBA seasons, respectively. The Bucks handed out 30+ assists in 10 contests this season and averaged the ninth-most assists per game in the NBA in with Jabari Parker saw significant improvements as the season progressed. He averaged 18.9 points and 6.1 rebounds in 36.5 minutes per game in his 28 games following the All-Star break after averaging 11.3 points and 4.7 boards in 28.8 minutes pre-all-star. Rookie Rashad Vaughn finished on a high note, scoring 10+ points in three of his final five games. Prior to his last five games, Vaughn had scored in double-figures only once. Milwaukee blocked 10 or more shots in 10 games on the season and held a 7-3 record in those contests. The Bucks swatted an NBA single-game-high 17 shots vs. Memphis on 3/17. The Bucks earned their biggest win of the season vs. Detroit on 11/23, defeating the Pistons by 21 points, Milwaukee scored 120+ points in three games this season (season-high 128 points vs. HOU on 2/29), marking the most games the Bucks have scored 120+ points in a season since the campaign. The Bucks were 4-0 in overtime games this season, defeating Atlanta twice, Cleveland and Philadelphia. Recent Games April 13, 2016 vs. Indiana L, In its final game of the season, Milwaukee lost to Indiana, 97-92, at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. The Pacers knocked down five 3-pointers and shot 50 percent overall in the first quarter to open up a lead going into the second quarter. Solomon Hill accounted for four of those 3-pointers, scoring 12 first-quarter points en route to a season-high 25 points for the game. Indiana stretched its lead to as many as 24 points in the third quarter before the Bucks battled back to trail by only eight points heading into the fourth quarter. Milwaukee couldn t complete the comeback and Indiana earned the victory. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks, scoring 19 points to go with nine rebounds and five assists, while Jabari Parker chipped in 17 points and seven rebounds. Hill led all scorers and added had six rebounds and three assists. Both teams shot below 45 percent, but Indiana shot 11- for-24 (45.8 percent) from three while Milwaukee was just 7-for-23 (30.4 percent) from beyond the arc. April 11, 2016 at Orlando L, In their final road game of the season, the Bucks fell to the Magic, , at the Amway Center in Orlando. Greg Monroe, who finished with a game-high 23 points, scored 15 of those points in the first quarter, but the Bucks still found themselves down going into the second quarter. Milwaukee couldn t bring down Orlando s lead during the ensuing two quarters, trailing by as many as 20 points, 77-57, with 4:35 left in the third quarter. The Bucks rallied for a comeback, trimming the Magic s lead down to four on two different occasions in the fourth, the latter which came on three consecutive free throws by Khris Middleton with 3:25 remaining to put the score at in favor of the Magic. Orlando was able to close the game on a 7-2 run from that point on to pick up the nine-point win. Middleton and Jabari Parker each added 17 points for the Bucks. Former Buck Ersan Ilyasova led the Magic with 22 points and six boards. 2 NEWS & NOTES MILWAUKEE BUCKS GAME NOTES SEASON REVIEW ABOUT ANTETOKOUNMPO In his third NBA season, Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged career highs in a plethora of categories including points (16.9), rebounds (7.7), assists (4.3), blocks (1.4) and steals (1.2) while shooting a career-high 50.6 percent from the field. In his 80 games (79 starts) this season, Antetokounmpo had plenty of memorable nights. Lakers with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists Posted five triple-doubles over a 20-game stretch (2/22-4/1), tying him for third on the Bucks all-time list for career triple-doubles Scored a career-high 34 points on a career-high 14 field goals made vs. Chicago on 4/3 Dished out a career-high 14 assists to go along with 28 points and 11 rebounds on 3/13 at Brooklyn Tied his career high in rebounds (16) and had a season-high-tying four steals in addition to 18 points and 11 assists on 2/29 vs. Houston Scored 30+ points for the first time in his career with 33 points (12-for-15) on 11/19 at Cleveland Shot a career-high 84.6 percent (11-for-13) from the floor (min. 10 FGA), scoring 22 points on 12/13 vs. Philadelphia JABARI LATELY Jabari Parker finished the season on a scoring tear, and made many improvements post-all-star. He scored 20+ points in three straight games (3/30-4/3), marking a career-long streak. Parker scored 15+ points in 24 of his 28 games following the All-Star break. Check out the chart below to see how his numbers stack up pre- and post-all-star: Pre-All-Star Post-All-Star MPG PPG RPG APG REALLY YOUNG BUCKS On 4/3 vs. Chicago, the Bucks produced the youngest starting lineup in the NBA this season with Rashad Vaughn (19), Damien Inglis (20), Giannis Antetokounmpo (21), Jabari Parker (21) and Greg Monroe (25), whose average age was 21 years, 274 days. Milwaukee s starting lineup that day was younger than two of the teams at the NCAA Men s Basketball Final Four that same weekend. Middleton put up 30+ points in five games this season (after only doing so twice previously in his NBA career), and the Bucks were 4-1 in those contests. As a team, the Bucks averaged points over the five games Middleton scored 30 or more. On the season, Milwaukee ranked 25 th in the league for points per game with SEEING TRIPLE Giannis Antetokounmpo notched his fifth career triple-double vs. Orlando on 4/1, finishing with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Antetokounmpo is now tied for third on the Bucks all-time list for career triple-doubles (with Sidney Moncrief, Alvin Robertson and Oscar Robertson) and behind only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (8) and Paul Pressey (6). Antetokounmpo also holds the record for most triple-doubles by a Buck in a single season (reached this feat with his fourth triple-double on 3/13 at BKN). He produced all five of his triple-doubles over a 20-game span (2/22-4/1). OWNING THE PAINT The Bucks scored 60+ points in the paint in an NBA-leading 16 games this season. Milwaukee also led the NBA in points in the paint per game with The Bucks posted a season-high 70 points in the paint on 4/1 vs. Orlando. Khris Middleton (18.2), Giannis Antetokounmpo (16.9) and Greg Monroe (15.3) are the three Bucks who averaged more than 15.0 points per game. 3 COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY MILWAUKEE BUCKS GAME NOTES SEASON REVIEW O BRYANT HONORS TOP READERS Bucks center Johnny O Bryant visited Brown Street Academy on Wednesday, April 6 to honor the winning students of his 30 Books in 30 Days reading challenge, which took place from Feb. 11 through March 10. Over 180 students participated in the challenge and read more than 3,500 total books. During the visit, O Bryant visited the top two classrooms from the reading challenge and hosted a group celebration to congratulate the students on their accomplishments. O Bryant originally launched his reading challenge at Brown Street Academy on Feb. 10. His relationship with the school throughout the season has fostered a love of reading among the students, with many students experiencing significant improvements in their reading abilities. BUCKS JOIN IN ON AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH The Milwaukee Bucks and forward John Henson partnered with Autism Speaks as part of a league-wide initiative. Henson donated 180 tickets for Milwaukee s game on 4/1 vs. Orlando to several Milwaukee-area Autism groups so that members and their families could enjoy the game together. Henson also hosted a meet and greet prior to the game in order to interact with the groups and to show his support for the cause.
