2 Introduction: Swanlamer No 12 Swanlamer No 12 is situated approximately 300m from the beach in Swakopmund on the top floor of the Swanlamer complex in Anton Lubowski Street. The complex has a security gate with remote operation. Inside the secure complex is a lock-up garage, also with remote operation, provided for two standard size vehicles. An elevator is available for convenient access to the first and second floors, however in event of maintenance, the apartment is accessible by two flights of stairs. How to find Swanlamer No 12 The Swanlamer complex is a short walk from town or the strand and a only few hundred meters from the several popular restaurants, the closest are The Tug and the Hotel Europa Hof, and The Jetty restaurant.

4 About Swanlamer No. 12 Swanlamer No 12 has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, an open plan lounge and kitchen, and a balcony overlooking the sea. There is a double garage with remote access for two cars, situated at close to the stairway and elevator access. The entire house is finished in neutral tones, with dark wood cupboards. An indoor fireplace/braai is installed in the lounge. In each of the rooms beautiful Namibian photography is displayed on the walls.

5 Apartment Views Calming sea views are available from the lounge via the sliding doors and balcony and master bedroom window.. LOUNGE AND BALCONY VIEW MASTER BEDROOM VIEW TWIN BEDROOM VIEW The twin bedroom looks out over the town to the east.

6 Main Bedroom The main bedroom has a queen size bed, as shown below. Tables are provided for storage containing a reading lamp on each side of the bed. The two large windows on the western side of the bedroom provide views of the Atlantic Ocean. The cupboards in the main bedroom, as with all the others, are a dark stained Meranti wood with hanging space and shelves. Two full wardrobes and a cabinet for the television are installed.

7 The main bedroom en-suite, accessible from a sliding door, contains a built in shower, a glass basin on top of a dark stained wooden cabinet, and toilet with dark wooden toilet seat. Many items of linen, including towels and matching duvet sets are provided wherever possible by Iyaloo, a community project based in Katatura, Windhoek, as shown above. Twin Bedroom The second bedroom contains a set of twin beds, a lamp table, and dark veneer cupboards. An east facing window, overlooks the town. Towels and matching duvet sets on the bed are provided, where possible, by Iyaloo, a community project.

9 Bathrooms Both Bathrooms are decorated with beige ceramic splash-backs, dark stained wooden toilet seats, basin stands and vanities, with a glass basin. Spare towels and extra soaps for your use are provided underneath the basin. Both bathrooms contain a basin cabinet with mirror, and an additional 3/4 length mirror. Additional toiletries and soaps are provided for your enjoyment and comfort. The main bedroom has a full sized bath with shower set.

10 The en suite has a built in shower instead of the bath. The remaining fittings are identical to the main bathroom.

11 Lounge The lounge has double glass doors opening onto the balcony. Two sleeper couches provide both seating and an option of a second double bed for an additional two guests if needed. The dining tables, which may be folded for easy maneuvering can be positioned on the balcony for an entertaining meal or sundowner overlooking the waves. Scatter cushions and poofs are provided by Iyaloo community project. Next to the TV is the large fireplace which can also be used as heating or as a barbecue ('braai'). A television is available for watching DSTV when the local entertainment becomes overwhelming, or when there is a need to just relax indoors.

13 Two double sleeper couches are available in the lounge, to provide for either a couple or two single persons.

14 Kitchen In the kitchen we tried to provide everything you might find at home. The foldable dining tables provide for a four place dining table. The breakfast bar provides extra space for dining or workspace. Iyaloo table settings are provided with matching tableware.

15 Appliances and Extras There is nothing more annoying than having to bring everything with you, then settling down to dinner and finding you have no salt. We hope you enjoy our complimentary condiments, for use while you stay in our apartment. Likewise a large jar of coffee and a variety of tea is provided. It is nice to be able to make yourself a cuppa as soon as you arrive, we try to keep these full for your enjoyment while you stay. Appliances: The convenience appliances which have been installed to ensure your holiday stays a holiday, are a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer (laundry service is available on request). Standard cooking facilities include an oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, jug and toaster.

16 A work desk is provided under the bookshelves, suitable for working on a laptop or homework.

17 About Red Sky Ventures Apartments Red Sky Ventures accommodation aims to provide great upmarket self catering apartments, with the comforts of home, at great affordable prices. We feel every visitor has the right to good service and so try to provide the optimum in extras, as the few extra pennies it takes to provide this do not begin to compare with your enjoyment when you stay in our apartments. Iyaloo Project, is a Community Project, which Red Sky Ventures assisted in founding, to help employees and their families in low income sectors with extra income and skills. Members of the project are taught basic skills required to make crafts and provided with designs ideas, facilities, and materials to enable them to begin production. Members are also taught basic costing, sales, and accounting to enable them to manage the project's and their own income themselves.

19 Red Sky Ventures initially assisted with distribution and marketing of the crafts, and training of the members, through our main business contacts and expertise, however now the project is fully independent, and operated by the members. Iyaloo now operates independently in a workshop they rent in Windhoek's northern suburbs. We hope the sales can continue to improve to provide work and income for many under privileged Namibians.
