2 Interior Doors (non-drainage units) 1. Bilco T, TD, K, and KD Type doors A. T - single leaf aluminum construction with smooth plate cover and tile molding. B. TD - double leaf aluminum construction with smooth plate covers and tile molding. C. K - single leaf aluminum construction with diamond plate cover. D. KD - double leaf aluminum construction with diamond plate cover. 2. Sizes for Standard units Single leaf T-1 or K x2 0 (610mm x 610mm) T-2 or K x2 6 (762mm x 762mm) T-3 or K x2 6 (H) (914mm x 762mm) T-4 or K x3 0 (914mm x 914mm) T-5 or K x3 6 (1065mm x 1065mm) Double leaf TD-2 or KD x4 0 (1220mm x 1220mm) TD-3 or KD x6 0 (H) (1220mm x 1830mm) TD-4 or KD x5 0 (1525mm x 1525mm) All sizes are stocked (H) Denotes hinge side(s) 3. Applications for Standard T & K A. T: Access through finished flooring to mechanical equipment. B. K: Wastewater treatment facilities where drainage frame is not required. 4. 3 5. Features of all Units A. Cover(s) reinforced for a 150 psf (7.18KN/m 2 ) live load with maximum deflection of 1/150 th of the span. B. Hardware is zinc-plated and chromate sealed. C. Covers are made of ¼ (6.4mm) smooth plate (T & TD) or ¼ (6.4mm) diamond tread plate (K & KD). D. Metal specifications. 1. Frame: Extruded; type 5086 H34 aluminum. 2. Cover and ¼ (6.4mm) reinforcing: 6061-T6 aluminum. 3. Channel and angle reinforcement: 6061-T6 aluminum. E. T-Cam torsion-cam system counterbalances the cover and provides ease of operation through the entire arc of opening and retards downward motion when closing. F. Positive stainless steel snap latch with an inside spoon handle release. Access from the topside with a removable key wrench. G. Automatic hold open arm with a red vinyl grip. H. Cast steel hinges (zinc plated). I. T & TD doors provided with either 1/8 (3.2mm) or 3/16 (4.8mm) molding to accept flooring tile or carpet in the field. 6. 4 7. Options A. Complete Type 316 stainless steel hardware for highly corrosive conditions. B. 300 psf (14.36KN/m 2 ) reinforcing available for certain areas. C. Lock options: 1. Yale #112 cylinder lock Keyed outside through a removable deckplate and turnknob inside. 2. Yale #112-1/4 cylinder lock Keyed outside through a removable deckplate and also keyed inside. 3. Recessed padlock hasp accessed from topside through a hinged cover. 4. Under-leaf slide-bolt. 5. Padlock lugs. 6. Panic lock for emergency exit. 7. High security locks (e.g. Folger Adams, Southern Steel, Adtec, etc.). 8. Other miscellaneous locks (e.g. Best, Castle, Lev-L-Lock, Electromagnetic, etc.) 8. Special Finishes A. Anodized. B. Special paints must provide complete paint specs including surface prep, primer, finish paint, and coating thickness. C. Non-slip surfaces such as Slip-Not.
