1 The Transport The transport is an activity that allows moving people or goods to and from. The types of transport are: air, terrestrial and maritime transport. The means of transport are the elements that are in use for carrying out the transport (trucks, trains, ships, planes ) Networks of Transport are the set of infrastructures where the vehicles can circulate easily (roads, railroads, ports, airports). The development of the transport allows: - The daily displacement of the population: from your house to your place of work, leisure - The displacements to very remote places: tourism, emigration - The distribution of goods and services to satisfy the needs of the population. In the last fifty years a revolution of the transport has taken place that allows transporting greater amount of people and goods, with fast, safe and more economic ways.
