Please read through the entire instruction manual before starting any of the installation procedures. 2. We recommend disconnecting the negative side of the battery until ready to code the vehicle. 3. Do not install any of the main modules near any major components or near the HVAC system, as placing items near the HVAC may cause damage or overheating to the vehicle or interface. 4. We recommend not disconnecting any of the air bag connections behind the dash panels. 5. This product is under Crux s 1 year manufacturer s warranty. 3 CONNECTING THE INTERFACE Follow these steps to properly install the interface module. Step 1 - Remove the GLOVE BOX to gain access to the factory HMI module. Located behind the glove box, remove the BLUE LVDS connector and remove. Make the Step 2 - Using the provided 28-Pin Power Harness, Connect the loose wires on the 28-Pin as mentioned below. Most importantly TAP the CAN High and Low wires. Normally the wires are the Twisted BLUE (Can-Low) and WHITE (Can-High). 24-PIN LOOSE WIRES RED = Accessory BLACK = Ground YELLOW = Not Used ORANGE = MMI GREEN = CAN-LOW YELLOW = IR AV2 WHITE = IR AV3 BROWN = AUX ON BLUE = PARKING GRAY = REVERSE MAKE SURE TO CONNECT THE CAN-LOW & CAN-HIGH CONNECTIONS ARE CONNECTED PROPERLY. 4 -PIN le plug) INTERFACING SOLUTIONS CONNECTING THE INTERFACE Follow these steps to properly install the interface module. Step 3 - After making the connections on the 24-Pin connector, insert the 24-Pin into the Main Interface module. Make sure the connector is properly seated into the module. Make BLACK/GROUND sure to set the AV sources being used to the ON position. NOTE: The Video In-Motion feature does not require activation. This feature is permanently ON and will not disturb the navigation GPS performance. OFF = Power Down/ Sleep mode. POWER LED: ON = Power On OFF = Power OFF After each change of the DIP switch settings, we recommend powering down the module, then restarting the vehicle. Rev

5 CONNECTING YOUR CAMERA TO THE INTERFACE Follow these steps to properly install the CAMERA and other Devices to the interface module. (CAMERA NOT INCLUDED) Step 5 -Connect the 5-Pin Camera Power Cable to the module and use the RED and BLACK wires on this cable to power the rear-view camera. RED = REVERSE / BLACK = GROUND Step 6 - Connect the 24-Pin AV Input/Output Cable to the Main Interface module. Connect the Camera and other Devices to the inputs on this cable. See labels on the cables for descriptions. The AV outputs can be used to go to an external monitor. Rev

6 OTHER AND OPTIONAL CONNECTIONS These steps will help you with using the additional connectors on the main 24-Pin Power Harness. Step 1 - Connect the 6-Pin LVDS T-Harness to the module and to the back of the display. Insert the factory LVDS into the female end of the LVDS T-Harness. Back of display Rev

7 OTHER AND OPTIONAL CONNECTIONS These steps will help you with using the additional connectors on the main 24-Pin Power Harness. Step 1 - Connect the 2-Pin Switch Cable if you are looking to switch the sources using the included switch. Same goes for the IR Remote.
