1 Oriental Bank s NetBanking Services User Guidelines Oriental Bank s NetBanking Services have been launched to maximize the customer satisfaction. The NetBanking Services can be availed by any customer of our Bank. Using NetBanking facilities, the authorized customers can view the various details of their accounts Anytime (24*7) and Anywhere. If you are using NetBanking Services for the first time and have received both User-id & Password, kindly follow the given steps for logging into the website:- Step 1: Logon to the Internet and visit the website and click on the OBC NetBanking link (under OBC ez Banking) or directly visit the website Step 2: Enter your User-id and Sign-on Password to authenticate yourself. Here you can also use the Virtual keyboard utility to enter the User.id or password. Step 3: It is mandatory for you to change the passwords (PINs) allotted to you. You need to first type in the Password given in the mailer to do so. Step 4: Enter the new password of your choice and confirm it by retyping it. Step 5: Click on UPDATE to confirm the change. Message confirming the same will be displayed on the screen. Step 6 : You need to browse through various options as per choice & in case of any transaction viz Fund Transfer etc, you need to enter your transaction password to authenticate the transaction. You can now continue using NetBanking - the most comprehensive, safe and easy way to access your account. Customer can generate Statement of Account For a given period, range of Cheque Nos & Amount 2. Facility for Stop payment of Cheques, Cheque Status Inquiry and Clearing Instruments Inquiry are also supported. 3. Customer can make NEFT/ RTGS payments without incurring any cost. 4. Both Direct and In-Direct Tax Payment facilities are available.

Utility Bill Payment 11. e-shoppe :- More than 1000 Merchant establishments have been integrated with Bank s Internet Banking Services User can make payment of various Utility Bills online viz. Electricity, Telephone, Mobile, LIC Premiums, Credit cards, Travel & Ticketing, Mutual Funds etc. 13. Customer can also make Donations and make Credit Card payments like SBI, Citi Bank, Barclays Bank etc. Visit >> OBC e-shoppe section to view list of various Billers. 4. Request for Issuance of Cheque Book, PO-DD and FD Opening 14. NetBanking Customers can also put their request for issuance of Cheque Book, PO/DD and Opening of FD Acc, which are processed at Backend by the Relationship Manager. 15. Customer can also exchange mails through Internet Banking. 5. Mails You can send mails for clarification of various queries and receive certain information from the bank. 6. Activity: You can inquire your various financial and non-financial activities performed during a period of time 7. Customize You can customize your various information like Change your passwords Add Nick names to your accounts Select primary accounts in case you have many accounts Change your various preferences like Date Format, Amount Format, Add id, Change your Salutation etc.

3 How to avail Internet Banking Services 1. Download the Internet Banking Application From Bank s Corporate Website available under Form Download Section given in bottom of Home Page. 2. Submit the duly filled-in Application form to your OBC Branch office. 3. Obtain your User-id and Passwords enabling you to access your account through Internet 4. Follow a simple procedure to logon to Oriental Bank s NetBanking Services website ( or ( >> OBC NetBanking) The above facilities are being offered totally FREE OF COST to you. The Internet Banking Application forms can be collected from any of the CBS branches of OBC or can be downloaded from the Bank s website or GENERAL SAFETY TIPS ABOUT ORIENTAL BANK S NetBanking SERVICES As security is of paramount concern for using Internet Banking Services, you must take care and follow the security tips as under: A. Safeguard your Password 1. Upon receipt of Oriental Bank s NetBanking password mailer from the bank, while accessing Oriental Bank s NetBanking Services for the first time, the You should change the password assigned by the bank, choosing minimum 6 characters and the password should be a combination of alpha, numeric & special Characters. 2. You should regularly change your passwords. 3. You are advised to maintain strict secrecy of your passwords. The passwords should not be stored in a physical format. The user-id & passwords should not be disclosed to anyone including Oriental Bank of Commerce staff. 4. Never write your password or store it on your PC. Memorize the password. 5. While selecting the password, avoid numbers and letters that could be easily associated with you. Avoid using your contact numbers, name, initials, and birth date. 6. Do not use easy-to-guess numbers as your Password, such as , , your date of birth etc. 7. In case of doubt about compromising of the password, it should be immediately changed. 8. The old three passwords cannot be repeated while setting up new password.

4 B. Log-in / Log-out 1. Log on regularly to Oriental Bank s NetBanking web site ( to check unauthorized use of the facility. 2. Avoid accessing Oriental Bank s NetBanking web site from PCs installed in public / open areas like cybercafés or libraries, which may have s/w (or viruses) for capturing keystrokes / sensitive information in memory swap files. 3. Avoid accessing Oriental Bank s NetBanking web site from a vendor site, which is not on the banks list of standard payee. 4. Always log out/sign off from Oriental Bank s NetBanking web site when you finish using the service or when you will be away from your PC. For security reasons, your login session of Oriental Bank s NetBanking web site will be terminated if your browser is left idle for a while. 5. Always remember to close the browser application after logout. To ensure confidentiality of your information please click on exit button C. Your system Requirements To use online banking, applications, or other secure forms on our site, you will need Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher with 128-bit encryption. You may use / get information about browser version from the browser e.g. In Microsoft Internet explorer, in dropdown menu "Help", "About Internet Explorer" gives information about Browser version as well as Cipher strength.

5 User ID/Password No one can access your Oriental Bank s NetBanking account(s) without your User-id and Password. The bank generates your User-id at the time of account setup and communicates this information to you. You may change your Password as often as you like after successfully logging in to our online banking system. This option is located in the Content web page. If you enter your Password incorrectly FIVE times, our system will lock out access. Only authorized bank personnel can unlock the account based on positive identification of you when you make such a request. This policy is intended to protect you from hackers or other unauthorized individuals attempting to access your account(s) at OBC Internet Banking Secure Environment Banks computer system does not connect directly to the Internet. Any and all requests for data must pass through two distinct validation and control centers also known as Firewalls. Secure Socket Layering (SSL) protects all data transmissions between your PC and banks computer system. SSL utilizes authentication and encryption technology developed by RSA Data Security, Inc. This method of cryptography means that your private information cannot be deciphered by unauthorized individuals. In addition, the Oriental Bank s NetBanking system has been subjected to stringent security reviews and penetration tests by an independent firm. VeriSign Global Secure Site IDs used by the bank enable secure online communications through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. Global Secure Site IDs enables the negotiation of SSL sessions using strong 128-bit RC2 or RC4 encryption. An Encryption is a method of scrambling messages so that they cannot be read without decryption keys. But please note that 128-bit communications require 128-bit capable software at your end which is as under: A client must use Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later Hence if you are using lower version you are strongly advised to upgrade the browser to required version.
