22 Dialogue about use of pre-insulated pipelines: How are the pipe sections connected on site? Step 1 Flat pipe ends are welded to a unit; uninsulated pipe section: 200mm Employment of heat tracing: Flat pipe ends welded, small trace heating pipes, exceeding thermal insulation. 23 Step 2 In case of heat tracing installation: Heating cable is pulled through the small pipes prepared for conduction Step 3 For increased heat transfer to medium: Heating cable is covered by aluminium or stainless steel tape (parallel or wrapped) Jabitherm Rohrsysteme AG 23

24 Method B: Step 4 Joint finish: Method A: Cladding (metal sheet) mounted with overlap on pipe ends. Empty space inside joint filled with liquid foam. Mineral wool wrapped around the inner pipe, filling empty space beween pipe and sheeting. Cladding (metal sheet) mounted overlapped on free pipe ends.
