2 Pushing technological boundaries When GE Oil & Gas introduced its Frame 5 gas turbine driver to LNG liquefaction in 1989, it enabled a step out in terms of production capacity and propelled the industry into a new era. Since that first 2.6-MTPY train, we have continually evolved our LNG technologies to deliver ever-higher power densities and plant capacities around the world. In 2009, our Frame 9 enabled the 7.8-MTPY megatrains at Qatargas 2 and we are now installing even more powerful trains for the latest developments. Our compression technologies cover virtually all the major LNG processes including APCI C3 Pre-cooled MR or AP-X, Shell s Double Mixed Refrigerant DMR, Phillips Optimized Cascade and Linde Mixed Fluid Cascade MFC process. Thermal efficiency The overall success of an LNG plant is dependent on many features, the most significant of which is turbomachinery efficiency. GE Oil & Gas is well known for its industry-leading contributions to these technologies continually evolving machine designs for safe and superior efficiency increases. Our liquefaction portfolio includes axial compressors with over 90% efficiency and gas-turbine drivers (e.g., LM2500, LM6000 and LMS100) with simple-cycle thermal efficiency of more than 40%. Designed for unique demands

5 Economies of scale The viability and competitiveness of an LNG project are very sensitive to the investment cost of the liquefaction facility. Consequently, the specific cost per ton of LNG produced is of critical importance. Our experience includes design and installation of the megatrain technologies that enabled Trains 4 and 5 at the Qatargas facility in Ras Laffan. These trains, driven by our Frame 9E gas turbines, set a new industry milestone for economies of scale. The next step in large LNG drivers is represented by our LMS100 with a nominal ISO power output of about 100 MW and a thermal efficiency of 45%, it is the best available option to reduce the total cost of an LNG operation. Availability & reliability High-quality, reliable equipment is critical to our customers success, so we make rigorous testing a critical part of our procedures both for product development and specific project configurations. Working closely with our customers, GE Oil & Gas has developed a wide range of services to improve the performance of all our plant equipment ranging from specific maintenance methodologies that shorten planned maintenance site activities, through to taking full responsibility for the ongoing performance and availability of the equipment under Contractual Service Agreements. By injecting our latest technologies into existing installations, we are able to extend maintenance intervals and component life. We also provide advanced machine monitoring and diagnostics with a variety of on-site and remote system options ensuring that each piece of equipment is running to its potential, and making the necessary contribution to plant performance. LNG is the industry s most volume-intensive process, with success hinging on a balance of critical aspects both technological and organizational. 6 Liquefaction trains GE Oil & Gas has supplied turbocompression trains for all the main LNG processes. Our technological versatility, breadth of experience and single-source approach gives our customers the advantage of maximized efficiency, reliability and availability in every aspect of plant operation. In addition to extensive design experience, we also provide comprehensive in-house capabilities for testing, installation, start-up and commissioning support, maintenance, plant integration and upgrading. Other compression services We also provide compression solutions for all the other services generally found in an LNG plant. Of particular interest is our innovative design for the boil-off gas compressor that draws on extensive in-field experience and has been validated through a dedicated experimental campaign of detailed analysis and testing. This robust and reliable solution now enables our LNG customers to get their complete line of compressors including associated maintenance and support from a single, trusted source. Power generation GE Oil & Gas can supply the complete power station for any liquefaction or regasification facility. Our solutions vary from packaged simple-cycle turbo-generators to complete powergeneration islands and waste-heat recovery systems all available on a turnkey basis. Thanks to our full line of steam and gas turbinebased configurations, we offer true single-source solutions with the most efficient power supply tailored to every need. Floating LNG GE s aeroderivative gas turbines offer high power-to-weight ratios that are ideal for floating LNG installations. 7 Modules Modularization of the plant is the best solution to meet overcome limited site resources and space availability. GE Oil & Gas has all the necessary engineering, manufacturing and procurement resources available in-house to produce turnkey modules. Our fabrication yard is equipped with full-load testing capabilities that replicate on-site conditions to considerably reduce risk. Our teams support customers throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design and installation to ongoing maintenance and upgrades. Auxiliary equipment We offer a complete portfolio of auxiliary equipment including reciprocating compressors, steam turbines, turbo-expanders, air coolers, pumps, valves and more. Design and manufacturing is tailored to each plant s specific process requirements. All engineering, manufacturing and testing is carried out at our facilities for optimum quality control. Control systems We have the unique ability to offer an integrated control platform for compressors with a variety of drivers including gas turbines, steam turbines and electric motors. Our Integrated Compressor Train Control (ICTC) system, previously known as Integrated Turbine- Compressor Control (ITCC), is a well-established product with over 500 installations on different applications including refrigerant compressors. This integrated product offers a simplified, reliable and efficient control architecture and software for compressors for antisurge control, process control and load sharing. The ICTC generally uses our Mark VIe system which ensures high reliability and availability through triple modular redundancy (TMR) or dual redundancy for critical systems. Key advantages of an integrated system include cost savings in terms of hardware, simplified installation and commissioning, enhanced maintainability and system availability without impacting performance or safety of the anti-surge system.
