Ceramic glass in the door and sidelights spreads the flickering firelight from the generously proportioned firebox to bathe the room in a relaxing sensation of heat and light. All Contura 0 models have two pipes that pass through the top section of the firebox. These cool the hot fumes at the same time as they heat the ambient air in the room. Cool air from the room is sucked up at the back of the heater to be subsequently released through the top vent at a temperature of around 1 C. That s what we call efficiency! Unlike fossil fuels, bio-fuel is renewable and does not contribute to the greenhouse effect. When there is a fire in a wood stove, the same amount of carbon dioxide is emitted as was absorbed by the growing tree. Conversely, fossil fuels come out of the earth. 28 TURNTABLE 0- AND 600-SERIES CONVECTION Light and heat throughout the house With a turntable mounted Contura the fire can be seen from everywhere. A simple rotation directs the heat and pleasure towards where you are at that moment. So Contura can spread heat and light to both the dinner table and the lounge area. The turntable can be adjusted to fit most stoves in the Contura 0 and 600 range. When the turntable is installed you can choose between 90, 180 or 360 stepless rotation. The rollers on which the turntable rests are hard wearing and functional solution to rotate the stove in a simple way. An easy and heat resistant solution. The connector is exposed to soot and high temperatures. Thanks to the heat resistant graphite gasket, soot is prevented from reaching the ball bearing. When installing a stove on a turntable it is not possible to supply combustion air from outside via a hose. Contura s fans for the 0 and 600 range kill two birds with one stone; quicker heat distribution throughout the house and a more even temperature throughout the house. The fans for Contura are simple to retrofit and fit most of the stoves in the Contura 0 and 600 range. The brilliant design means that the fans can also be installed with the retained outdoor air connection. The fan itself is neatly concealed by a base panel (optional) in the same colour as the stove. Soapstone or tile bases are available for use on Contura 660 and 670. The fans for Contura are thermostatically controlled, which means that they start automatically when the stove is lit and switch off when the fire has gone out.
