2 Descriptin The Picture Slideshw Web Part sequentially displays the images cntained in the specified Sharepint Picture Library. The Web Part can be used bth with Windws Sharepint Services V3 and MOSS. The fllwing parameters can be cnfigured: Sharepint Picture Library cntaining the pictures Frame change rate Maximum image dimensins Sequential r randm play-back Library View t be able t select/filter a subset f images in a library ptinal URL links fr each image (via "URL" list clumn) ptinal Image Captin (taken frm Picture Library "Title" and "Descriptin" fields) Prerequisites Befre yu attempt t install the slutins yu need t make sure that yu have the fllwing installed n yur server(s): Micrsft Office SharePint Server 2007 r WSS 3.0 Installatin Manual Installatin 1. dwnlad and unpack the AESlideshwWebpart.zip file. The ZIP archive cntains the SlideshwWebpart.dll and the AESlideshw.webpart files. 2. drp the SlideshwWebpart.dll either int the SPS web applicatin bin directry r int the GAC f yur Sharepint server (c:\windws\assembly). 3. add the fllwing line t the "<SafeCntrls>" sectin f yur Web.Cnfig file. Please make sure that the line is added as ne single line (n line breaks): <SafeCntrl Assembly="SlideshwWebpart, Versin= , Culture=neutral, PublicKeyTken=2aa28aa073da0296" Namespace="SlideshwWebpart" TypeName="*" Safe="True" /> 4. frm the tp site g t "Site Actins/Site Settings/Mdify All Site Settings/Galleries/Web Parts" 5. use the "Uplad" menu ptin t uplad the AESlideshw.webpart file. Autmatic Installatin 1. Unpack the AESlideshwWebpart.wsp and Install.bat files frm the Zip Archive and place the 2 files nt yur Sharepint Server. 2. Add the Slutin by either running Install.bat r manually entering: stsadm - addslutin -filename AESlideshwWebpart.wsp

3 3. Deply the slutin by navigating with yur brwser t Central Administratin->Operatins->Slutin Management : 4. Yu shuld nw see the AESlideshwWebpart.wsp in the farm s slutin stre: Click n AESlideshwWebpart.wsp t deply the slutin: 5. Prceed t activate the feature by navigating t the Site Actins/Site Settings page in yur tp-level site: Chse Site cllectin features t navigate t the Site Cllectin Features page:

4 Activate the AE Slideshw Web Part feature Adding the Web Part t a Page Navigate t a page where yu wuld like t place the web part and chse "Site Actins/Edit Page" 1. Add the web part t the apprpriate zne. The web part is listed in the "Amrein Engineering" gallery sectin :

5 Web Part Cnfiguratin Cnfigure the fllwing Web Part prperties in the Web Part Editr "Miscellaneus" pane sectin as needed: Site Name: Enter the name f the site that cntains the Sptlight Picture Library: - leave this field empty if the Library is in the current site (eg. the Web Part is placed in the same site) - Enter a "/" character if the Library is cntained in the tp site - Enter a path if the Library in in a subsite f the current site (eg. in the frm f "current site/subsite") List Name: Enter the desired Sharepint Picture Library name. If yu want t display nly the images cntained in a specific Library flder, append the flder name (separated by a "/") t the Library name: Example: Site Pictures/Barbeque Please nte that Library flders are supprted nly in the licensed versin. If an "URL" list clumn is fund in the specified Sharepint Library, it will be used as a hyperlink fr the crrespnding picture. The link then pens in a new brwser windw View Name: Optinally enter the desired List View f the list specified abve. A List View allws yu t specify specific data filtering and srting. Please nte that yu need t select bth the "Picture Width" and "Picture Height" clumns when defining the view. These values are needed t prperly scale the images. Leave this field empty if yu want t use the List default view. Slideshw Speed: enter the frame change time in millisecnds Slideshw Width: enter the desired maximum width f the images in pixels (the images will be autmatically scaled if they are wider than this value) Slideshw Height: enter the desired maximum height f the images in pixels (the images will be autmatically scaled if they are taller

6 than this value) Randm Sequence: if activated, displays the images in randm rder Shw Image Captin: display the image Title and image Descriptin field as an image captin. The values are taken frm the crrespnding Sharepint Picture Library "Title" and "Descriptin" fields. Use Preview Images: displays the scaled-dwn Sharepint "Preview" images (instead f the riginal images) t reduce the memry lad (recmmended if the Library cntains big images that are cnsiderably larger than 640x640 pixels). License Key: enter yur Prduct License Key (as supplied after purchase f the "Slideshw Web Part" license key). Leave this field empty if yu are using the free 30 day evaluatin versin r if yu chse ne f the License Activatin described belw. License Activatin Yu have the fllwing 3 ptins t enter yur License Key: 1. Enter the License Key int the crrespnding License Key field in the web part cnfiguratin pane (See descriptin abve). 2. WSP Slutin Deplyment: Add the License.txt file (as supplied by AMREIN ENGINEERING after having purchased a license) t the Slutin at the fllwing lcatin: c:\prgram Files\Cmmn Files\Micrsft Shared\Web Server Extensins\12\template\features\AESlideshwWebpart 3. Manual Deplyment: Add the License Key t yur web.cnfig (typically fund at c:\inetpub\wwwrt\wss\virtualdirectries\80) <appsettings> sectin as fllws: <appsettings> <add key="aess" value="aess-x-xxxxx-xxxxx-xx-xx" /> </appsettings> Replace the x characters with yur actual key values. Please nte that this methd requires yu t manually add the key t each Sharepint applicatin.
