An exciting time that allows everyone to socialize with relatives and friends and also makes people think of what they want to do next year. And it is a dream that is being realized by more people than ever! It is quite common for people that have just retired, to sell their house, buy a smaller home instead, and invests the remaining money in overseas property - buying a house or apartment here in Skiathos where they can enjoy mild winters, warm spring, hot summer and a relaxing autumn. This way they can profit from the best of both worlds. Skiathos is accessible throughout the year; by charter during the summer season or schedule flights via Athens all year around. There are also regular ferries where you can relax and take life at a slower pace. It is easy to travel back home when one feels like it, and come back here again after a while.
