1 Subject: TEXPO 206 Pakistan (24-27 March 206) at Karachi EXPO Centre Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in consultation with Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan will be organizing a maiden sector specific exhibition with the name of TEXPO 206 from March 206 at Karachi EXPO Centre. TDAP has been organizing the EXPO Pakistan-a general trade exhibition since In the last EXPO Pakistan in 204, a large number of local and foreign buyers participated and settled business deals in millions of dollars. 2. The objective of this maiden exhibition is to showcase the potential of Textile sector exports, especially in the value added sector like readymade garments, knitwear, hosiery, bed sheets, textile make-ups, sportswear, towels, textile accessories, etc. 3. TDAP will organize ancillary events like inauguration ceremony at the Governor House, Karachi to be graced by VVIP. TEXPO is the biggest trade fair in Pakistan, showcasing the large collection of Pakistan s export merchandize and services. Foreign exhibitors from neighbouring countries also use this platform to launch their products. The 03 days TEXPO Pakistan has become the primary sourcing point for a large number of businesses worldwide, giving them a head start on the buying and ordering for coming seasons. 4. As in the past events of EXPO Pakistan, TDAP will arrange appropriate accommodation, transport and reception at the airport for the foreign delegates. 5. 3 Pakistan s Rising Economy Coined as the Next Eleven identified by Goldman Sachs Investment Bank and economist Jim O'Neill in a research paper, Pakistan stands as the world s 26 th largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity. The increasing proportion of Pakistan s working-age population provides the country with a potential demographic dividend Brief about Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) was established in November 8, 2006, under a Presidential Ordinance, with Ministry of Commerce Government of Pakistan as its Administrative Ministry. TDAP is mandated to develop, promote, facilitate and enhance the volume and value addition of Pakistan exports. As the premier trade organization of the country TDAP not only strives to promote Pakistan s business with the world but also seeks to establish a Brand Image for the country.
