1 DIRECTIONS Pachesham is situated on the A245, 1 mile from Leatherhead railway station, in the direction of Cobham on the right hand side. From A24 go into Leatherhead and follow one-way system. Turn left in front of railway station towards Cobham A245. From M25 J9 follow Esher signs (A244). Turn left at roundabout into Oaklawn Road, sign posted Crematorium, Golf Centre. Turn left at the end onto A245. We are first on the left. From A3 leave at Esher Common junction (A244) Take A244 towards Leatherhead. Go approx 2 miles, through Oxshott, at the roundabout turn right into Oaklawn Road, see above HEALTH & SAFETY Whilst the Organiser has taken steps to ensure the health and safety of those present, for these measures to be effective everyone must exercise all reasonable precautions to prevent accidents occurring and obey the instructions of the Organiser, Officials and Stewards. FIRST AID No fee is charged. Certified First Aiders present at all competitions. Minor First Aid can be obtained from the Secretary s cabin. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organiser, neither the Organiser nor representatives accepts liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, vehicles, their contents and accessories or any other person or property RULES & CONDITIONS The Organisers & Judges decision is final. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, to cancel or alter times or classes. Horses and Ponies must be four years old or over to compete in ridden classes. An animal that is sick or lame will not be allowed to be ridden on the show ground. Hard Hats must be worn at all times when mounted. All riders must wear the current BSI standard hat when jumping including using the practice jump. Chinstraps must be fastened. Body protectors must be worn across country and are strongly recommended for show jumping. They may be worn over jackets. Declarations. Competitors must declare with the start steward at least 10 minutes before their alloted time. Competitors missing their start time may be eliminated or go last at the discretion of the steward. Cross Country competitors who are eliminated must on no account interfere with the progress of another competitor. They must be prepared to leave the course at a walk if instructed to do so by an official. Stop watches are not allowed. Cancellation of an event will be posted on the website by 8am on the day of the competition. Litter. Please use the bins provided. Dogs are to be kept under control. Horses must not be left unattended when tied up outside and must not be tied to show ground fencing. No horses/ponies to be taken into the fenced eating area. Parking: Please abide by all directional signs. Be aware some classes may be full before closing date. WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS Dressage, ODE s and Hunter Trials received by before the start times are published will be refunded. After this time a medical certificate will be required. Substitutions may be accepted. For other competitions withdrawals will be accepted by before the day of the competition PRIZE MONEY - Where prize money is offered the Prize is published in this schedule and will always be awarded, therefore a minimum number of starters will be required to run such a class. 5 5. QUEST CLUB DRESSAGE (BD) Sat 23rd April, Sun 19th June Entry Fee 16 per rider. Entries close on the Tuesday before My Quest: Intro A (2008), Prelim 12 (2005), Novice 28 (2008) Team Quest: Intro C (2016), Prelim 13 (2006), Novice 34 (2009) Individual Quest Club members, plus any of those riding in a team, could compete in the My Quest classes. Quest points - League tables Each time the combination/team competes they potentially earn more as they achieve higher percentages. The highest ranked riders/teams qualify for the Regional Final. Team Quest - All team members must have a minimum of a Team Quest Club membership (or any other paid category of BD membership). Teams can be made of a minimum of 3 and maximum of 4 different riders. Teams must register their team name and its members with British Dressage. The name chosen must not have been used before. Each team must nominate a Team Captain who will be the point of contact for the team. Saddlery and Dress a) BD rules will apply with regards to saddlery and horse equipment. Numnahs / saddle cloths may be of any colour. b) BD rider dress rules are relaxed for Quest Club competitions. Safety is paramount, so protective headgear must be worn in accordance with BD rules. c) Jackets are not compulsory. Teams / riders are encouraged to wear smart casual team / personal colours of their choice, excluding fancy dress. d) Footwear needs to be safe (i.e. a small heel and clearance each side of the stirrup) and may be long or short boots with or without gaiters. Breeches / jodhpurs can be of any colour.
