Here in 1995 the first winery was built, in a charming landscape, between the Arancio Lake and the ancient farmhouse dated 1500 owned by the Planeta family. Dorilli estate, in Vittoria, in the heart of the area of production of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, lies within the ancient Feudo di Torrenuova. The farmhouse, restored following the architecture of 900 century, has some rooms devoted to hospitality. Buonivini estate in the Val di Noto is the synthesis of Planeta s commitment to eco-sustainability and respect of the territory. The winery is completely underground, thus invisible, and the old wine press was restored following the original architecture. It is possible to stay in the Case Sparse, small country houses surrounded by the vineyards. SCIARANUOVA ESTATE On the north slope of Etna Feudo di Mezzo winery was built on an historical lava flow of 1566, only using the lava stone, typical of the area. Sciaranuova estate, few km away, is an old restored wine press, presently a wine shop and tasting room, beside the traditional Ribatteria with wood stove and a kitchen for convivial events. * On request it is also possible to visit Dispensa winery and Capparrina olive estate, in Menfi. 3 PLANETA EXPERIENCE WINE&FOOD NATURE CULTURE VISITS TASTINGS FOOD Each Planeta territory has its own history and particular characteristics. For this reason each visit is a unique way to explore the vineyards and the wineries and to discover the different winemaking processes for each wine produced on the territory. After the visit of the winery it is possible to add a wine tasting. Moreover it is also possible to taste a selection of Planeta Extra Virgin olive oil. Planeta has a particular care for food, for local products and culinary tradition of different territories. In each winery it s possible to match with the wines an aperitif, the light lunch or the Casa Planeta lunch. ROOMS Planeta s hospitality is complete with the possibility of accomodation in the winery, in addiction to the wine resort La Foresteria, in Menfi. At the moment the rooms of Dorilli and Case Sparse in Buonvini are available for guests. COOKING LESSONS Planeta offers different cooking lessons, demonstrative or hands on. All lessons are made with recipes from the cookbook Sicilia, la Cucina di Casa Planeta and each lesson ends with a lunch or dinner, matching the wines. WINE SHOP In the wineshops it is possible to buy Planeta wines and extra virgin olive oil Val di Mazara, gadgets and the cookbook Sicilia, la Cucina di Casa Planeta. Special privateshipment service is available for all visitors. MICE EVENTS NATURE&CULTURE In all Planeta wineries it is possible to set up tailor made private events, meetings, conventions and gala dinners. For business events it is possible to arrange special team building activities bonded to wine and food. During the year each Planeta winery offers activities and events. In particular Vivere vendemmia gives the possibility to discover where and how we produce Planeta wines by inviting the visitors on the harvest site. Planeta wineries also offer some naturalistic and cultural activities such as the naturalistic path La Segreta, the Country Museum and the Iter Vitis museum, at Ulmo. In all wineries it is possible to add excursions in the nearby countryside. For groups with more than 20 persons Planeta Winetour Team will make program and costs on request

4 WINE & FOOD PLANETA EXPERIENCE TASTING 4 WINES After the visit of the winery it is possible to taste 4 wines to discover the variety of styles among the wide Planeta production. 15 euro 60 MIN The tasting ends with a selection of Planeta Extra Vergin olive oil Dop Val di Mazara. It s possible to complete the tasting with other wines, buying a bottle or by the glass, according to wine shop pricelist. FOOD After the wine-tasting it is possible to continue with an aperitif or a lunch*. LIGHT APPETIZER A selection of tasty specialties, typical Sicilian appetizers: bread with Planeta extra virgin olive oil, olives, croutons, cherry-tomatoes, local cheese. LIGHT LUNCH 20 euro 90 MIN After the welcome of the winery (selection of typical appetizers) a first course pasta or traditional Sicilian soup and seasonal vegetables. This proposal includes seasonal fruit, coffee, biscuits and a selected wine. APERITIF A buffet with traditional appetizers, from the Sciacca anchovies in Planeta olive oil to sweet Kamarino tomatoes, bruschetta, vegetables omelettes and a selection of Sicilian cheese and salami. LUNCH 30 euro 120 MIN A small buffet of appetizers followed by a 3 courses lunch inspired by traditional recipes of the territory, served with 2 wines. CASA PLANETA At Ulmo it is possible to have a complete lunch with traditional Casa Planeta recipes, served in the wide central room of the farmhouse. Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time; late cancellations will incur a 50% charge.
