6 Dear All, I just completed my interview trip in Yangon/Myanmar and returned to Singapore yesterday(10 June 2016). This time round, we are fortunate to have many candidates coming forward asking for job as Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) in Singapore. I have interviewed at less 250 candidates. Many are good and suitable but I have rejected many also as to me they are not suitable to work as FDW as of now..those i rejected are either too demanding in term of expectation. Example does not want to work with bigger family, does not want to work in landed houses, want much higher salary, insist on 4 rest days per month with no room for negotiation etc.. Some not able to understand basic English like identifying of colour, timing, does not able to do simple reading etc. Some are physically dirty, some "blur blur"...some candidates are asking me too many questions; is as if she is interviewing me instead...sigh!.. Those that i shortlisted are mostly positive, non-demanding (willing to accept jobs that i dictated..) with clean and good features, able to articulate in simple clear English, of good height and size etc..a few can communicate in Mandarin. I will try to be as precise as possible in my write up and therefore please read carefully if to see if i indicate that certain candidates is not willing to look after elderly or new-born baby etc...
