Data Analysis Consulting work Graduate Research Assistant, Special Education Faculty Needs Assessment (SEFNA), The U.S. Department of Education s Office of Special Education Programs (Project #325U070001) supports this evaluation effort, which is being conducted at CGU. One aspect of the effort is to determine whether a sufficient supply of new special education doctoral graduates will be available to assume roles as teacher educators to meet the nation s need for highly qualified special education teachers, Dr. Deborah Deutsch Smith Graduate Research Assistant, Cleaning and analysis of large existing databases (approximately 5.5 million cases), Dr. Valerie Pang Graduate Research Assistant, Assisted with data collection for the SDSU Imperial Valley Special Education Credential Program, assisted with Credential Student Participant manuals, conducted full review of literature in culturally relevant pedagogy, data gathering and presentation of employment projections within education in CA, Dr. Jose Luis Alvarado Conducted a two-year at a comprehensive high school in San Diego, CA. Study investigated a way that teachers can reinforce themselves to prevent burnout. Study included a baseline burnout survey, utilization of reflective practices and documentation, three meetings per year with surveys regarding process FSU: Graduate Assistant & Research Assistant, Assisted Dr. Bruno in creating a Living and Learning Community for freshman interested in entering field of education, qualitative research with cohort groups, and developed assessments and rubrics, Dr. John Bruno FSU (undergrad & Master s): Research Assistant, conducted full literature review of spelling problems of students with disabilities, Dr. Barbara Edwards.
