2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS JET Programme Career Fair(Greater Tokyo) 13:00-14:30 REGISTRATION(Career Fair Registration Desk, 2F Makuhari Hall, Tokyo Bay Makuhari) Registration for the career fair is not required if you have already registered for the After JET Conference. Step 1: Fill Out Your Personal Information Form Information on this form will be used for making contact with companies you visit at the career fair. Personal Information Forms provided at the venue are carbon copy paper type. Please press firmly when you write. Extra forms are available at the Information Form Completion Area and the Career Fair Reception Desk. The Personal Information Form is also available on the career fair website. It is recommended to fill it out beforehand and to bring several copies with you to the career fair. Check the career fair website to see if there are companies accepting the Personal Information Form in advance. Step 2: Read the Career Fair Guidebook Carefully There will be 54 companies at the career fair. Read the company profiles in the Career Fair Guidebook and decide which booths you would like to visit. Feel free to take the guidebook home with you and research the companies as well. Step 3: Visit Company Booths Visit booths and talk with people from various companies. Get a feel of the company s work environment, and learn information vital to your job-search. Be proactive in approaching and talking with booth representatives. You may have the chance to meet persons from the personnel department, employees working at the forefront of their field, and many other staff members in various positions. Some booths may have a long waiting line. Instead of using your time to wait in line, come back again later. You are likely to have more time to talk with staff members and ask questions when the booth is less crowded. Use your time wisely. It is recommended to check out the companies you don t know much about first. Some of the companies will offer individual interviews during the career fair. Note: Please set your mobile phone on silent mode. If you want to make a phone call, go outside the venue. Smoking is prohibited in the venue. Please use the designated smoking area outside. We may photograph the career fair for the purpose of recording the event activities and promoting future events, including online posts. The event may also receive media coverage. However, please feel free to consult with the conference staff if you feel inconvenienced by the publication of photos etc. for privacy reasons. In case of an earthquake or fire which requires emergency evacuation, follow the instructions of the staff members at the venue and proceed to the nearest emergency exit. Please hand in the career fair survey on your way out when you finish visiting the booths. Thank you for your cooperation. 2
