1 Specification Sheet Employee Central Key capabilities and descriptions: KEY Employee Central Core HR Global Cloud-Based Payroll Employee Central Core HR As the foundation for SuccessFactors BizX Suite of talent applications, Employee Central is a next generation core HR System that supports a broad range of HR processes and transactions. Employee Central supports over 50 countries, and is available in 19 languages. Key features include: HR Transactions Org Chart Org chart functionality provides a natural way for HR professionals, managers, and employees to navigate through the organization, understand reporting relationships, and initiate any kind of transaction. Effective-Dated Transactions Process future dated as well as retroactive HR transactions, report using effective dates & pre-defined periods in time, and provide effective-dated transactions with full history for employee records and valid table values. Employee Self-Service Manager Self-Service Workflow automation Notifications Mass changes Employees can update information and execute transactions. They can update personal data (address, name, emergency contacts, marital status, etc.), update direct deposit information, and access pre-integrated payroll and benefits portals to make or change benefits elections, contributions and tax withholdings. Managers can access employee information for which they have security rights. View personal information, employment history, salary history, training history, performance history, education information, professional awards, languages and proficiencies, external work history, and more. An intuitive wizard-like interface enables managers to initiate and execute any kind of change for anyone on their team promotion, termination, bonus, salary change, etc. All manager self-service functionality is supported on the BizX mobile app. Automate workflow and track a transaction through its life cycle from inception to execution including approvals, routing and historical tracking. Create & manage as many levels of approvals as needed for selected transactions. Workflows are enabled through mobile devices. Automated notification of status changes, new hires and terminations. Change job information and/or job relationships for any user-defined selection of employees to efficiently execute org. changes or manager reassignments affecting large numbers of employees.

2 New Hires & Onboarding Recruiting integration Basic worker information Employee type Pull new hire information from recruiting; no need to re-enter data between employment stages like applicant to hire. Track worker demographics, position/job info, supervisor/manager, function, location, business unit & division, department, work location/mail stop, legal entity, cost center/ general ledger code, gender, nationality/ethnicity (where legally permitted), marital status, date of birth, disability, Social Security Number, allowances, emergency contact, province, and more. Capture and update what type of employee any worker is: regular, full-time, part-time, contractor, consultant contingent, co-op or student hire. Immigration and citizenship information Capture & validate SSN or other unique identifier (i.e., SIN) Capture information like Visa, green card, expiration dates, nationality, passport #/place of issue and languages spoken. Capture and validate SSN or other unique identifier at time of entry to ensure there are no duplicates. Employee history Country-specific information Changes & Transfers Track employee history, including company, industry, skills/experience Country-specific information is included for all employees, including country of residency, and country of work location, if different. Track employee status Track whether employees are active, on leave or terminated. Track employee transfer information Track specific change/ transfer dates Track employee transfer information, including reason for transfer, transfer date, transfer to and from (departments), transfer from one company to another, and transfer supervisor For each employee, track dates for hire, rehire, seniority, adjusted service, anniversary, service award, effectiveness of union code, transfer, termination, retirement, promotion Leave of absence Global Expatriate Assignments Promotions & Demotions Terminations Track dates and information pertaining to employee leave of absence and return Support transfers between countries as well as inpatriates and expatriates. Includes to the ability to have different employee arrangements between the same countries. For example, an employee from Mexico working in the US may be paid in Mexico or the US and the position may appear in headcount reports of Mexico or the US. Ability to track and maintain expat data in both home & host countries (personal/job info, comp data and benefits/payroll eligibility.) Track & maintain data pertaining to promotions & demotions including grade change, title change, transfer, responsibility change, cost center change, step progression. Initiate termination, and track all relevant data including termination dates (termination effective date, last day worked, pay through date, next pay date, etc.) term reasons, rehire eligibility status, severance, and customizable term checklists.

3 Position Management Position-Driven succession management Create positions, store & track related information Track & maintain position reporting relationships The relationship between the incumbent and the successors is established through a position hierarchy that supports planning for succession of a vacant position as well as nominating a To Be Hired person as a successor to an incumbent. Easily create one or more positions online with appropriate controls; store & track position category (regular, part-time, seasonal, interns, confidential), job description, job title, grade, business unit, division, dept, supervisor name, name of previous employee in that position, and name of incumbent employee Track and maintain a position-based org structure; Manage how one position type reports to another; Easily reclassify positions and reporting relationships within position control tables Position vacancy tracking Track and maintain open positions and vacancies easily in the position-based org structure. Track status/events Track status & events associated with a position Validate job codes & job descriptions for positions Validate job codes & job descriptions for positions (i.e., a position must be submitted with a valid job code and description) Absence Management Holiday calendar and work schedules Holiday calendar and work schedules to define an employee s working /non-working days Time accounts Time accounts for vacation, sickness, PTO Mobile transaction Request absence Mobile transaction - Approval workflows Full support for employee absence requests via mobile device with absence history, time off calculation, absent team members during the requested time and comment functionality. Workflow-driven approvals streamline absence requests; managers receive requests for time off with information on other team members absent at the same time, related comments, and appropriate employee time-off balances. Managers can approve or decline requests. Forecasting The initiator and the approver of the absence request are provided with a projected balance that is based on future accruals and planned absences.

Generate any number of standard reports (data audit, out of box HR reports, turnover reports, executive dashboards, etc.), run them on the fly or on any pre-defined schedule, and generate them in local languages. Publish reports to any number of constituents based on security access rights. Run reports based on data beginning on a specified date Run reports based on data within a specified date range Run various audit reports including, but not limited to audits of inactive users, audits of unauthorized user attempts, and security reports of users capabilities by function Includes audit tracking and reporting to support audit standards, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and compliance with other government regulations View audit trails of current changes being made in a comprehensive report, including when data is updated as the results of an interface/integration with another application

5 KEY Global Cloud-Based Payroll Employee Central customers seeking a payroll solution as part of their cloud-based HCM strategy can now leverage SAP s leading global payroll engine to handle complex payroll processes, ensure compliance, and address considerations like collective bargaining agreements and reporting. Employee Central and SAP payroll are tightly integrated. SAP payroll will be deployed as a SaaS solution. Payroll Receive employee time, commission, expense data Calculate gross pay Received deductions Collect & process garnishments Calculate net pay The key inputs to calculate gross pay that vary by payroll cycle. Gross Pay is calculated based on the number of hours worked, pay rate and other inputs such as commission, overtime pay and other one-time payments and overrides Benefit and other vendors provide the deductions to be made from the employee s gross pay Record any court ordered deductions. Calculate the amount that employees will receive after deducting tax, deductions and garnishments Process checks & bank transfer After net pay is calculated, checks are printed and mailed or the amount is deposited in the employee s bank account Off-cycle pay processing Retroactive pay calculation General ledger posting Taxes & remittance processing Year-end processing Regulatory reporting Any special one-time pay process such as bonus payments, termination payout. Processing a change that took effect from a prior pay period. After the conclusion of the payroll run, the results are then transferred and posted to the financial system Taxes, deductions and garnishments are remitted to the recipients within the specified time. Produce documents that are provided to employees as well as regulatory authorities at the end of the year. Produce and file any documents that are required by law.
