2 About ISO Lead Auditor Training BCM 5000 teaches the principles and practices of independent auditing of a BCMS and guides the student through the audit process using a balance of formal instruction and practical case study activities. The focus of the course content is on the requirements of ISO and how these requirements are implemented in a Business Continuity Management System. BCM 5000 provides students with the skills and knowledge to conduct and lead effective business continuity management system audits in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22301: 2012, ISO 19011: 2012, and ISO 17022: Who Should Attend? CEO s, Organisation Heads, Operation Heads and Quality Heads. The course audience also includes those with auditing experience who are interested in adding the auditing of BCM Systems (BCMS) to their audit capabilities for conducting internal and/or external audits as well as BCM professionals who wish to add auditing competence to their skill sets. Course Focus In-depth review and study of the Standards: ISO 22301, ISO 22313, ISO and ISO Study of the essential components of a Business Continuity Management System Auditing practices such as how to lead an audit, present audit findings, write an audit report, and conduct opening, closing, and follow-up audit meetings Course Description BCM 5000: SO Lead Auditor Training is a 5-day instructor-led course. The course isconstructed around a case study and each activity is applied to the case study as we move through the course. There are more than 25 auditing activities as well as multi-media that provide practice applying and gain in an understanding of the requirements of ISO and BCMS auditing practices. Also included are small quizzes taken during the course after each section. The purpose of the quizzes is to help attendees measure what they know and what requires further study. Course materials include: Templates for standards compliance, Comparison of BS and ISO in excel paper and electronic format, and an ISO Assessment Checklist. 3 Course Learning Objectives As result of successfully completing BCM 5000, students should show competence in and an understanding of the following areas: 1. Key practices of a business continuity program for organizations of all sizes 2. The essential elements of the following standards: ISO ISO ISO ISO The requirements for auditing business continuity programs 4. How to lead an audit of a BCMS including reporting verbally and in a documented audit report Accreditation BCM 5000: ISO Lead Auditor Training is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as part of ICOR s Certificate Program. Upon completion of BCM 5000 and passing the exam with a rate of 80% or higher, attendees will earn an ANSI Accredited certificate as an ISO Lead Auditor. ISO Lead Auditor Training was written by Business Continuity Services, Inc., (BCS), a consulting firm specialising in business continuity management, crisis management & communications, emergency management, continuity of government operations (COOP), information & communication technology management/disaster recovery, and data center management.
