Visit Cornwall is responsible for growing Cornwall s visitor economy through award winning destination marketing, digital marketing and PR activities, to continually grow awareness of Cornwall to existing customers and new markets. Visit Cornwall works to ensure Cornwall remains Britain s number one holiday destination and will increase the volume and value of visitors from overseas. Introduction: Visit Cornwall is looking to re-launch VisitCornwall.com, it s award winning website as a mobile first website. VisitCornwall.com is Cornwall s shop window to the world, receiving over 3 million visits annually, and providing high quality, targeted referrals to over 900 Cornwall tourism businesses. In 2012 Visit Cornwall re-launched VisitCornwall.com to become an award winning site for innovation that delivers results. It has been awarded the Best Destination Website British Travel Awards 2012, Best Tourist Board Website 2012 TravelMole Awards, and has been shortlisted alongside BBC at British Interactive Media Awards. We re-launched VisitCornwall.com to become a top referrer of quality, targeted traffic to over 1,000 advertisers. Three years later we are now looking to re-launch the website for the mobile era matching, and hopefully exceeding, our previous successes.

2 2 1) Specification - Project To work with VC to plan, design, build and deliver a re-launch of VisitCornwall.com. The contract will be due to commence on Tuesday 2 September 2015 and the website must be delivered w/c Mon 23 November (12 week project). The contract will specify penalties for late delivery, so please do not apply if you can not guarantee meeting this deadline. Specification: Built for mobile first, tablet + desktop Content Management System for team of in-house 5 editors Database housing over 1,000 listings and competition database Maps Videos hosted on Youtube The website carries advertising solutions to drive revenue for the site Recommend Hosting Solution Annual technical support package over 2 years to be provided separately first 3 months after site go live should be free Must be able to deliver to a very strict tight deadline the contract will specify penalties for missing the deadline Considerations: Accurately reflect brand First class UX across smart phone, tablet and desktop Support revenue targets Showcase Cornwall to it s best be visually stunning while providing ROI to advertisers Champion Cornwall as a unique, rich and diverse holiday destination Increase referrals to Cornwall Tourism businesses through excellent UX Offer incentives to book direct with Tourism businesses Easy to update as an editor Use content to support the research process and increase conversion rate (Consistent high quality photography, Maps, Video, - that do not impact speeds Fast page load speeds for the number of traffic consideration of this will be a vital part of the project and testing the contract will specify penalties for failing in this area Presents right products to right customers Remember customers' previous selections and preferences for future visits Personalised blog Integrate reviews Ensure ability for excellent Search Engine Optimisation Drive growth of our CRM and social media Meets Accessability legal requirements Meets Data Protection requirements Fully secure

3 3 Fully tested and compliant across various browsers / devices (list to be agreed) 2) Specification - Agency Skills, experience and expertise required: Must have experience of design and build of websites receiving over 1 million visits and achieving growth in visits over a period of time (demonstrated by portfolio / references) Must have experience of design and build of listings websites powered by databases with over 500 listings (demonstrated by portfolio / references) Must have experience (demonstrated through a portfolio) of excellent UX for websites with multi-purposes / functions / customers Must have experience (demonstrated through a portfolio) of designing visually stunning but functional websites Must have experience (demonstrated through a portfolio) of designing mobile websites Must be able to demonstrate (through a portfolio) of a balance creativity and UX, functionality, technical excellence and customer service Must be able to demonstrate (through references) the ability to deliver on time to budget including all costs project managing / UX / graphic design / technical build Copyright / ownership All designs commissioned under this contract are to remain the copyright of Visit Cornwall CiC. Insurance requirements Professional indemnity insurance with a limit of liability of not less than 2 million BUDGET The contract budget will be up to 40k.
