3 1.0 Art and Culture 1.1 The Hayling Billy Heritage Prject was selected as ne f the Heritage Lttery funded prjects frming part f a shwcase fr lcal MP Alan Mak. Officers frm the Heritage Lttery Fund, alngside members f the Partnership spent time with the MP and meet with vlunteers invlved. S far the prject team have successfully carried ut resurfacing t a sectin f the Billy Line, the restratin f the last remaining signal, established a vlunteer cnservatin grup and cmpleted an ral histry prject. A celebratin f the prject will be held in Spring Cmmunity 2.1 The HBC Waterlville Cmmunity Facebk page nw has ver 3,600 fllwers and prves t be a very effective way f cmmunicating infrmatin t residents ( The Cmmunity Team Twitter accunt has been adapted t cver the whle f Havant brugh. ( 2.2 Planning fr the Havant Yuth Cnference 2016 is underway with the event taking place n 4th March at the Plaza. The cnference will fcus n life skills and include tpics such as budgeting, internet safety, healthy lifestyles and demcracy fr pupils in schl years nine and ten (ages 14 & 15). All 10 secndary schls have nw signed up t attend. There will be inspiratinal guest speakers, including Havant MP Alan Mac, as well as a Cuncillr questin and answer sessin and an Apprved By Yu style vting activity. 2.3 The Team have been wrking in partnership with Cmmunity First t supprt the Leigh Park Cmmunity Assciatin thrugh a current perid f significant change. 2.4 Officers recently carried ut a mapping exercise f all cmmunity buildings in the Emswrth area t determine what cmmunity prvisin is being prvided frm the varius lcatins. 2.5 The Cmmunity Team have been thrugh a service reveiw and belw is the new Cmmunity Team Structure.

4 3.0 Events 3.1 The Cmmunity Officer (Events) cmmenced their emplyment in December The Officer will c-rdinate the cmmunity events administratin prcess as well as HBC run events. They have initially spent time reviewing the current prcess used and have administered a number f events taking place in Health and Wellbeing 4.1 The Health and Wellbeing Bard meeting tk place in December The Deputy Directr f Public Health was in attendance and received presentatins regarding the three Public Health funding prjects in Havant. They were particularly psitive abut the Havant prjects and pleased with the utcmes achieved. 4.2 The Cuch t 5K beginners running prgramme fr 2017 is underway with seven curses being run in T date ver 300 participants have engaged with the scheme and nce cmpleted attendees can als access a regular running sessin in Emswrth. 4.3 The Breastfeeding Twn Centre Welcme Scheme prject has nw been cmpleted, hwever infrmatin abut the scheme and thse establishments signed up is still available n the HBC website Leisure Infrastructure

5 5.1 The Senir Leisure Officer cntinues t develp the sprt and leisure facility imprvement prject at Frnt Lawn recreatin Grund, Leigh Park. The prject nw has full planning apprval which was agreed n 17 th December Officers cntinue t wrk twards securing the shrtfall in funding. Sprt England ntified the Senir Leisure Officer that HBC s 265,000 applicatin t the Imprvement fund had been successful in reaching the final stage, 1 f nly 28 prjects natinally. The final stage f this applicatin is due t be submitted in March. The prject team cntinue t wrk up the prcurement prcess t identify the peratr fr the site and the cntractr fr the build. 5.2 The Senir Leisure Officer and Cmmunity Sprt and Leisure Officer have been wrking with the Lawn Tennis Assciatin (LTA) t carry ut an ptins appraisal relating t the management and maintenance f HBC s park tennis sites. Initial discussins are explring a number f peratinal mdels that culd see the sites managed mre effectively as well as a ptential pprtunity fr sme capital investment. 5.3 The Cmmunity Sprt and Leisure Officer is supprting Play Parks fr Hayling t create a piece f cmmunity artwrk at Mengham Play Park. This will invlve wrking in partnership with a charitable rganisatin t develp the artwrk which will be led thrugh cmmunity cnsultatin. 5.4 The Cmmunity Sprt and Leisure Officer rganised a Club Matters wrkshp fr lcal sprts clubs t attend at the Plaza n 8 th December. This wrkshp was themed n marketing and aimed t help sprts clubs becme mre self sufficient. The wrkshp engaged with nearly 40 peple and was deemed a success. An additinal tw wrkshps have been identified by Sprt Hampshire and are due t be delivered in March Safer Havant Partnership Supprting Trubled Families Prgramme cntinues t wrk in partnership with partner rganisatins t help families in the brugh and t date has been extremely successful and effective. Families that have multiple and cmplex prblems, fr example children nt attending schl, adult mental health prblems, unemplyment and ASB t name but a few. Havant was the pilt supprted by ur CEO Sandy Hpkins driving the prgramme frward; ur team f Tim Pinter, Harriett Sctney and Hannah Buckingham drive it n the grund t make it wrk.
