3 Apollo House The beautifully located Apollo House has been a listed monument since It was designed by architect Dirk Roosenburg, grandfather of the famous architect Rem Koolhaas. Construction took place between 1938 and The building has a steel construction with concrete and masonry facades. Recently the building was completely renovated and adapted to modern times. In particular by investing in sustainability. Among other things, it is equipped with a high-end climate ceiling and a heat/cold source for heating and cooling. 3

The garage offers space to more than 283 cars, including 61 parking spaces for the southern ring. Visitors can be dropped off at both entrances of the building. The parking garage is provided with an intercom system including a videophone for visitors and license plate recognition for employees. Security is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. 7

8 Southern Ring At the moment, the southern ring of the Apollo House is being renovated. All three floors in the southern ring will be equipped with the latest techniques. Renovation work is expected to finish during the first quarter of The southern ring will have a fully renovated and spacious private entrance on the first floor, located at the Gerrit van der Veenstraat. 8

The building is equipped with a highly sustainable heat and cold storage system. The building is heated and cooled by the climate ceiling in combination with radiators located at the facades. The climate can be regulated per grid of 3,60 meters. Also the Adiabatic humidification system converts cold water into moist air. This is a very hygienic and energy efficient way of humidification. Besides the natural ventilation, the building also has an air-conditioning unit combined with a mechanical ventilation system. The air-conditioning unit is provided with a thermal wheel, which recovers heat. Pre- and postfiltering of fresh outside air takes place by means of high end F9 filters. The ventilation system is based on one person per 8 sq.m. The cooling capacity is 75 W/sq.m. The electrically operated sun blinds are located on the outside of the facade and can be operated per grid of 3,60 meters. The new climate ceiling is provided with led lighting (warm white). The lighting is provided with presence detection and daylight reduction. These light fittings are highly sustainable and very energy efficient. The entire building is connected to the electricity network of the municipality of Amsterdam. Additionally, the building has its own power generator and each floor has a separate electricity meter. The office space has a cable channel with 220 V power and data cabling (utp). Full text technical details is available upon request. 22
