They allow you to set preferences to receive updates on news, prices and bulletin board transactions. The system functions on both a desktop PC and an iphone. 5 Minimum system requirements Argus Direct through desktop alerts app will operate on most PCs using any Windows operating system from Windows XP onwards. It requires an internet connection and Adobe Air, preferably the latest version. We also recommend the minimum hardware spec of: Processor: 2 Ghz Memory: 2Gb Hard disk space: 10MB Video Resolution: 1024 x 768 Supported network card: Intel pro family or equivalent Argus Direct iphone app requires ios 6 or above.

6 Installation Argus Direct Alerts Desktop app To install the desktop version, you may need administrative rights to your PC. Your system administrator should be able to provide further assistance if needed. Argus Direct Alerts can be downloaded from The previous link will install Adobe Air automatically. 7 Installation iphone app The iphone version can be downloaded from the itunes App Store, by clicking here or searching for Argus Alerts in your App Store.

8 Firewall Settings The desktop version uses port 80 for messages and port 443 (SSL) for authentication.

9 Security details Login requires an Argus Direct subscription which is authenticated using an address and password. No other personal details are transmitted. The desktop and iphone app use SSL for all communication of the user s address at logon. All data is securely transmitted between the server and client.

11 Software updates We publish regular updates to the service. When a new version is released, you will receive an automatic update notification. It requires you to quit the app before you can run the update. Instructions will be provided in the pop up window.
