ASCLD/LAB needs to stay involved in the activities of the Organization of Scientific Area Committees (OSAC) and the National Commission on Forensic Science. The policies and standards developed by these two bodies have the potential to significantly impact the forensic science community. As an accrediting body, it is important for ASCLD/LAB to provide guidance to both groups on how the policies and standards may impact the operations of accredited laboratories and the accreditation process. Additional Information: (Include any additional information that voters should consider when making their decision) The 2015 Board of Directors has four ASCLD/LAB delegates with a technical background in DNA analysis and one ASCLD/LAB delegate with a technical background in Digital & Multimedia Evidence. My extensive background in Firearms, Tool Marks, Crime Scene and Bloodstain Pattern Analysis will

2 provide the expertise needed to ensure that the Board represents the voice of a diverse section of the Delegate Assembly.
