5 CARRIER Services 3 SATELLITE The IS VSAT offering ensures converged communications, always-on connectivity, anywhere, anytime access across multiple geographies. Allowing clients to extend their VPN into Africa via a dedicated always on satellite connection. The IS VSAT offering also allows for our clients to build resillient networks utilising the VSAT Business Continuity product for last mile redundant termination. Very small aperture terminal (VSAT) is a two-way satellite ground station with a dish antenna that is smaller than three metres. The VSAT services are fully integrated into IS terrestrial MPLS network with main hubs located in South Africa, Nigeria and Germany. The service is scalable and flexible up to 18 Mbps downstream and 4 Mbps upstream, with bandwidth configurable from 8 kbps to 18 Mbps in 1 kbps increments.

6 CARRIER Services 4 Fixed Network Infrastructure IS Fibre is a layer-agnostic service, provided to clients as a last mile service, in order to provision Internet Solutions Access, MPLS and independent point-to-point services over our next generation network (NGN). IS Fibre delivers fast, uninterrupted, dedicated connectivity with high reliability and performance for business critical applications. The solution is a true redundant network and is quick to deploy and has the ability to grow as your business needs grow. We partner with major providers in South Africa to reach every corner of South Africa. These include ethekwini Metro Connect, Neotel services and Telkom Metroclear service.

7 CARRIER Services 5 Wireless Network Infrastructure Wi-Band is the latest advancement in business connectivity from Internet Solutions, delivering uninterrupted connectivity and reliability. Wi-Band is dependable, cost-effective and 100% future-proofed, providing fast, secure wireless connectivity. IS fully manages your connectivity, giving you independence from thirdparty technology and systems, and maximising your service levels. There are two offerings; Standard The Wi-Band Standard offering provides businesses with a last mile link of between 256 kbps and 10 Mbps, with a coverage radius of up to 5 km. This option supplies coverage through point-to-multipoint technology. Xtend The Wi-Band Xtend offering provides businesses with a last mile link of between 10 Mbps and 200 Mbps with an unlimited* coverage distance. The Xtend options provide coverage through point-to-point technology. *NOTE: IS will perform a line-of-sight survey at the location to confirm service availability.

InfoConnect This service was designed to seamlessly provide connectivity from any of our corporate clients to the service providers with whom they have, or wish to have, a working relationship. InfoConnect links clients to 3rd party service providers through the IS network in a secure, reliable and resilient way. With just a single link into the IS MPLS network, clients are able to access multiple service providers across a diverse range of industries, which provide business critical services and applications. These services range from Banking, Card Switching, and Credit Vetting to Vehicle Tracking and Cellular Providers. APN - Access Point Name (3G/HSPA access) Organisations needing to provide secure access to their remote devices or mobile workforce can easily control access back to their corporate network via their own Access Point Name (APN). The IS APN is an extension of the IS MPLS network to include the GSM networks across all available providers. Seamless management and control is provided via an online portal, offering detailed reports on a per user basis.

Outsourced load balancer This high availability load-balancing solution provides automatic failover for any application distributed across multiple servers or geographies to ensure uptime and infrastructure optimisation. Intrusion protection solution Additional security to the perimeter firewall is provided by the fully hosted and managed intrusion protection solution (IPS). It provides additional security on an MLPS network by protecting against denial-ofservice attacks and malware, and detecting and reporting on suspicious network activity. Secure Connect Secure and convenient access to the enterprise network is provided for remote or mobile workers. Implanted alongside an outsourced firewall, Secure Connect provides maximum security with two-factor authentication. Secure Connect Lite Remote access to central office resources is offered through a low cost SSL VPN solution where users perform two-factor authentication with the ADSL secure firewall device using a token generation app running on their mobile phone. Web filter This FortiGate-based Web filtering solution provides policy-based URL blocking, blacklisting and reporting on the network. It blocks end-users from browsing non-productive websites to reduce unnecessary bandwidth utilisation and increase productivity. Anti-virus This FortiGate-based anti-virus technology is a gateway virus detection system, monitoring incoming and outgoing Internet traffic on your network to stop malware at the network edge. ADSL Secure Security for business DSL clients is provisioned via an onsite FortiGate firewall provided by IS, with managed firewall and Web filter.
