2 General Safety Instructions! - Check that the installation, putting into service and maintenance of this apparatus is carried out by qualified personnel with knowledge of the apparatus and all the procedures as laid out in this installation and service instruction manual. - To perform the following installation requires a vocational training (electrician, electrical engineer) and some years of experience. - Make sure the standard and legal prescriptions are adhered to during the installation, putting into service and maintenance, so that all procedures are carried out in strict compliance to the rules of good working practice and safety at the work site. - Please read this instruction manual and plan your work before starting the installation. - Strictly follow the information given in this instruction manual. - Pay special attention to the danger notes as indicated in this manual by the following symbol: - Check and ensure that the personnel operating the apparatus have the instruction manual at hand, as well as the necessary information for correct installation. - Before starting the retrofit upgrade, please de-energize the switchgear by operating the switch-disconnector to open position. - Check that all mechanism springs are discharged. If you have doubts, close and open the switch. 2/28

Arbeidet utføres av en fagperson. - Les manualen nøye før du starter arbeidet som er beskrevet i dette dokumentet. - Utfør installeringen nøyaktig slik som beskrevet i denne manualen. - Vær spesielt nøye med å lese og følge anvisninger når det er indikert med fare symbolet: - Sørg for at betjeningspersonell har dette installasjonsheftet og har fått nødvendig informasjon når de betjener det installerte utstyret. - Før du starter med installasjonen, vennligst sørg for at avgangen som det skal jobbes på er strømløs og at bryteren er utkoblet. - Sørg for at alle fjærer på mekanismene er avspent. 4 Installation procedure 3 S01 S02 2 * 1. Unscrew both locking screws and remove the upper front cover and open the lower front cover Løsne begge låseskruene og fjern det øvre frontdekselet samt åpne det nedre frontdekselet 2. Unscrew the fixing bracket for capacitive voltage indication Skru av festebraketten for kapasitiv spenningsindikering *Depending on SafeRing / SafePlus production year, the position indicator may be different compared to the drawing on the left. Please refer to Appendix A, if your position indicator is different. *Avhengig av når SafeRing / SafePlus anlegget er produsert, kan stillingsindikeringen være forskjellig fra tegningen til venstre. 6 6. Fix auxiliary switch marked S11 and S12 to mechanism with 2 pieces of M4x6 screws Signalvenderen merket S11 og S12 festes til øvre mekanisme med 2 stk M4x6 skruer 6/28

7 Contactor Kontaktelement 7. Fix the contactors to the new push button bracket. NOTICE! Make sure that the numbers on the bracket, S01 and S02, correspond with the numbers written on the wires attached to the contactors Fest kontaktelementene til ny brakett med trykknapper. OBS! Numrene S01 og S02 på braketten skal samsvare med numrene som står på ledningene til kontaktelementene 8. Pull the position indicator maximum 2 mm out and fit the auxiliary switch marked S7 and S10 behind the camshaft, as shown in the picture Fix the auxiliary switch with 2 pieces of M4x10 screws Dra ut stillingsindikeringen maksimalt 2 mm og vipp signalvenderen merket S7 og S10 bak kamakselen, som vist på bildet Monter signalvenderen med 2 stk M4x10 skruer 8/28

9 Trip coil linkage Utløserarm Fix trip coil Y1 and closing coil Y2 to the mechanism with M5x10 screws Monter utløserspolen Y1 og innkoblingsspolen Y2 på mekanismen med M5x10 skruer 11. Insert bracket with push buttons on the operating shaft Fix it with 3 pieces of M6x30 screws Make sure that both trip levers of the mechanism are inserted into the push buttons Sett braketten med trykknapper inn på betjeningsakselen Fest den med 3 stk M6x30 skruer Sørg for at begge utløserarmene er plassert inne i hver sin trykknapp 10/28

11 18 Loctite 19 If the module is not equipped with interlocked cable cover, please continue to step number 24 Dersom feltet ikke har kabelromsforrigling, vennligst gå til punkt Remove standard nut from the rear side of the interlocking bracket Fjern mutteren fra pressbolten på baksiden av forriglingsbraketten 18. Apply Loctite glue on the surface of the special nut and mount it where the standard nut was removed Bruk Loctite lim på spesialmutteren og skru den fast på pressbolten 19. Mount the interlocking lever on the special nut. Før forriglingsarmen inn på spesialmutteren 11/28

Fix the interlocking lever with a washer Fest forriglingsarmen med en sikringskive 22. Fix the interlocking bracket to the mechanism with 2 pieces of M4x10 screws Replace the screw, as indicated by the arrow, with 1 piece of M4x16 screw Fest forriglingsbraketten tilbake på mekanismen med 2 stk M4x10 skruer Erstatt skruen, som vist med pil, med 1 stk M4x16 skrue 12/28

Connect the wires from motor operation, coils and auxiliary switches to control unit X1 Fix the wires to avoid any damages from moving parts VIKTIG! Kontroller at motor, spoler og signalkontakter er tilkoblet rekkeklemmelist X1 Kontroller at alle ledningene er festet slik at skader fra bevegelige deler unngås 27. 23 19 Loctite 20 If the module is not equipped with interlocked cable cover, please continue to step number 25 Dersom feltet ikke har kabelromsforrigling, vennligst gå til punkt Remove standard nut from the rear side of the interlocking bracket Fjern mutteren fra pressbolten på baksiden av forriglingsbraketten 19. Apply Loctite glue on the surface of the special nut and mount it where the standard nut was removed Bruk Loctite lim på spesialmutteren og skru den fast på pressbolten 20. Connect the wires from motor operation, coils and auxiliary switches to control unit X1. Fix the wires to avoid any damages from moving parts VIKTIG! Kontroller at motor, spoler og signalkontakter er tilkoblet rekkeklemmelist X1. Kontroller at alle ledningene er festet slik at skader fra bevegelige deler unngås Cog wheel arrow shall point to the straight line Pilen i tannhjulet skal peke mot den rette linjen 27/28

28 29. Make sure that the position indicator for the switchdisconnector show the correct position Påse at stillingsindikeringen viser korrekt stilling for bryteren 28/28
