Eligible applicants will demonstrate: Noticeable passion for Her Campus An interest in journalism, publishing, entrepreneurship and/or marketing Stellar leadership skills The ability to communicate clearly and effectively Timely responsiveness to s Flawless writing and editing skills Attention to detail WHAT IS INVOLVED? Campus Correspondents are responsible for: Editorial Creation - Create new content for each of the five features and upload it to the site on a weekly basis (no prior web experience required). Generating Publicity - Publicize the Her Campus brand while raising awareness about your My Campus chapter. The Growth and Management of a Dedicated Team - Build and lead a staff on your campus. Participate in Marketing Opportunities - Work with the Her Campus National team on marketing programs that include elements such as sponsored content and campus sampling for national clients.

3 HOW TO APPLY Campus Correspondent applications require the following: Cover letter (if applying in a group of two, to be Co-Correspondents, please submit a joint cover letter) Resume (individual resumes required) - Please emphasize experience in journalism, online media, marketing/public relations/event planning, entrepreneurship, general leadership experience, etc. Individual writing samples - Preferred samples include a press release or an article for a newspaper, magazine or blog. Please choose a writing sample that demonstrates your ability to write professionally with clarity and coherence. The subject matter may be similar to the content found on HerCampus.com, but it may also be anything about which you feel passionate. If you do not have a press release or article, you may submit an original article similar to content found on HerCampus.com. 3 on-campus publicity ideas (3 joint ideas for co-applicants) Minimum of 5 students on campus interested in joining your team You can fill out the application form with the documents mentioned above. Please save each document as PDF files. Applicants are welcome to apply either as an individual founder or in a team of two co-founders, but preference is given to teams of two.

4 THE APPLICATION PROCESS The acceptance, orientation and onboarding process can potentially take six weeks to two months to complete, but you will be assisted the entire way by our Chapter Management Team. During the application process you will be expected to: Submit a work product test Complete a brief phone interview with Cara Chiaramonte, Campus Development Associate Acquire 100 signatures from students at your school to demonstrate campus support Sign confidentiality agreements Carefully read through documentation and take short quizzes that orient you to the Her Campus site and prepare you to properly lead your chapter Prepare your first week s worth of digital content and submit it for National review and approval two weeks prior to your launch date Practice uploading content to the site to familiarize yourself with the content platform Recruit members to build a strong team on your campus - Team members can consist of writers, marketers, social media mavens, etc. Want to initiate the application process?
