4 How we got to where we are today t-three (without the group bit ) started life in 1996 with just three team members ( team three became t-three). By early 1998 we opened our office in central London and were employing a team of 8. In 1999 we completed our first ever global project. We created our online development tools business which supplies psychometric & tailored 360 degree feedback tools to some of the world s most recognised brand names. We launched our employee ownership scheme. Today we are completely employee owned. This really drives us all further to ensure we continually offer our partnering clients the very best service and tons of innovative solutions, which bring about the changes they want to see. 3
5 Today The big move! We outgrew our office in London and moved to a new base in sunny Cambridge where our head office (AKA t-three towers) still is today! Early 2011 saw the birth of the t-three group. At this time, the Total HR team, who provide strategic HR advice to organisations, were a welcome addition to the group and enabled us to truly start broadening our client offerings in the UK and beyond. Viral Change TM then joined us in January 2012, which meant we could now offer partnering clients a new and highly exciting way to create fast, sustainable, large scale behavioural and cultural change. In 2012, the Queens of cutting-edge development, Laura and Philippa joined the group and set-up Management Evolution, providing fresh, pragmatic and instantly applicable blended management training on a range of pioneering topics. Courses range in length from full programmes to 90 minute bite sized sessions. Today we now Employ 38 employees Have retained clients since we started out in 1996! Work with a great spread of clients from all sectors; from Government through to SME s, to some of the world s most recognised brands Deliver globally from Shanghai and Saudi Arabia to San Francisco; and almost everywhere in-between! 4

We work in close partnership with our clients to clearly define the performance changes they want to see. 10 Impact story 1 The Toyota leadership programme is an exciting, bespoke design for mid to senior level leaders. Historically, these participants have been exposed to various theories, courses and traditional methods of leadership development. This time, Toyota were looking to achieve a real and tangible step change in leadership performance; specifically around increasing the personal capacity of their leaders in order to lift the capability of their teams. Toyota approached t-three in June 2012 to work collaboratively with them to create a highly innovative yet practical programme, designed to give their leaders two key things: 1). A deep, personal insight into their impact as a leader..... The entire programme has been built around Moments of Truth in leadership. Assuming that around 80% of what the Toyota leaders are doing is relatively effective, there are always going to be those critical moments, for any leader, in which they make a decision, revert to preferred behaviour, or choose a certain path of action. It is this Moment of Truth which will either determine success or demystify failure. We have, and are continuing to help their leaders to figure out what their relevant Moments of Truth are, and how they can try new approaches, tools and techniques to be much more effective in those.. moments and in their role at Toyota ). Tools and ways of working differently which will help them create increased personal capacity
11 Impact story 2 Eli Lilly is the 10th largest pharmaceutical company in the world and is consistently ranked as one of the best companies to work for. For over nine years t-three have partnered with Lilly to provide their Regional Self Development Programme which runs 5 times a year with participants drawn from Asia, Europe and The Middle East. The Regional Self Development Programme is an innovative and challenging development centre designed to accelerate the talents of emerging leaders. Twenty participants engage in activities designed to provide practical opportunities to give them a deep insight into their behaviours, strengths and weaknesses. Critically it supports Lilly s people in identifying key steps to improving their leadership effectiveness which is benchmarked against the Lilly competency framework Quote received from a recent participant

14 Impact story 3 Organisations do not invest in 360 degree feedback programmes for the goodness of their health, but rather to develop their employees to support their organisational journey, so they can deliver on their business goals. t-three were therefore very excited to work in partnership with the British Council (BC) to deliver a fully customised 360 degree feedback programme, designed against their behavioural framework, for their managers and employees to drive their organisational goals and development. To ensure the BC got the most out of their 360 programme, we worked collaboratively to review their new BC Behaviours and ensure they translated into effective 360 questions. The BC has 3 levels of behaviours, each of which became a separate 360 questionnaire so a participant could access the relevant questionnaire depending on their current role and level within the BC. The BC s objectives were two-fold; to help embed the new BC Behaviours and to inform personal development. We worked extensively with the BC to create briefing and communication documents that could be used and accessed by anyone involved in the 360 process. These materials helped explain why the BC had undertaken this piece of work and how it would add value to individuals development and the organisation as a whole. These materials were circulated and presented ahead of the 360 going live to ensure maximum engagement from all participants. The BC found the 360 so effective that they asked t-three to deliver 360 degree feedback training to equip them with enough internal resource and capability to deliver 1:1 360 degree feedback sessions internally. As the BC is the UK s international organisation for cultural relations with other countries, their internal coaches and HRBP's are spread all over the world - we therefore delivered interactive training via Webex from their London offices. Experienced t-three coaches continue to support the internal capability by also delivering some of the1:1 360 feedback coaching sessions
15 Impact story 4 In the pursuit of global excellence, Samsung Europe is continuously looking for dynamic new leaders. Samsung is passionate about its people as it is these people who help make Samsung a market leader and innovator, driving technology and solutions... Samsung Electronics.. has been using Facet5 in Europe for over 2 years in order to continue to develop its people and ensure they are achieving their full potential. When Samsung s current and prospective leaders participate in their talent programmes they are offered Facet5 at the start of their journey. This allows them to explore their core personality, work preferences and strengths, increasing self-awareness. This, in turn, helps them identify how they may be perceived by others, and how they work with key stakeholders, including their teams and managers.... All participants receive their 1:1 feedback from an accredited Facet5 practitioner back in their subsidiary before they attend... one of 3 talent programmes in the UK. Once on the programme, the insights from their Facet5 profile are explored via a variety of exercises and peer-to-peer coaching. This helps them to understand their leadership style and how to lead authentically as well as their personal impact and how this can be fed into building their personal leadership brand. Creativity, collaboration and excellence are the hallmarks of leadership at Samsung. Therefore, in order to attract the most talented individuals, Samsung use the full Facet5 personal profile report and Facet5 s recruitment application, Audition, to support them in the recruitment of senior hires. Where Audition has been used, it has allowed Samsung to explore getting the best fit for their culture as well as the specific role. Even if candidates aren't successful, Samsung provide all candidates with a personal feedback; ensuring the experience was a positive one. Samsung now has over 50 employees, across Europe, who are accredited to deliver Facet5 feedback. 14

18 Impact story 5 Having been recommended by a previous client, Total HR were asked by international shipping agency, Graypen, to undertake a thorough analysis of their people management activity. Taking a holistic view, we undertook an analysis of Graypen s existing employee management information; reviewing policies, procedures and business strategy. Alongside this, we facilitated a number of employee focus groups, across the UK, as well as visionary interviews with senior managers. Following a thorough analysis we developed a strategic report which highlighted the status of people management at Graypen. The report also detailed a three year development programme, designed to support Graypen in ensuring they have the right people resource in place to deliver their challenging business strategy. Since the audit, we continue to work alongside Graypen to provide all their HR support; from restructure, recruitment and redundancy management through to reviewing all contracts of employment and company handbooks. Total HR have delivered a highly personalised HR service in a growing, international business... Our partnership with Graypen extends further with next year s plans including the development of a performance management system, individual coaching for senior managers and the development of a new HR system
19 Impact story 6 Compass Point Business Services (CPBS) are a shared service organisation who support two local authorities 100 miles apart, servicing residents in two communities. Total HR were asked to assist with a TUPE transfer and provide strategic business support for a merger.. that had been identified at risk of failing two weeks before completion. Having worked with Total HR previously, CPBS recognised we had the skills and ability to turn the project around in a challenging situation and with limited time. We completed an initial risk assessment, drawing up a plan of mitigation at the same time as delivering on the urgent priorities. Without any litigation or impairment to the standards of quality and service, we worked alongside the in-house HR teams to successfully transfer over 300 staff from the two local authorities into the shared service company. In addition, Total HR managed a follow-up redundancy programme immediately upon transfer and secured the exit of over 100 staff. We helped match staff to roles to ensure operational stability and recruited new senior leaders to deliver the business, including the Managing Director, Finance Director and Operations Director. In partnership with the in-house HR teams, Total HR also developed a three-year people improvement plan. This included leadership and development, stabilising the HR department and improving the capability and capacity of line managers. Total HR ensured there were no adverse effects on service delivery throughout the entire period. CPBS were required to make 2.3m in savings and, with our help, they over-achieved this - securing 2.5m savings. 18

Management Evolution provides a portfolio of cutting-edge courses which provide managers with the essential skills needed to operate successfully in the 21st century therefore, we offer courses such as Leading Remote Teams, Managing Outsourced Suppliers and Creative Business Thinking. Often working with multi-cultural organisations, programmes are delivered either as tailored, interactive workshops, that often incorporate blended learning, or highly cost effective 2 hour, fast-paced, practical sessions which we call Mini-ME. s Our Mini-ME. s compress up to a day s traditional training into an energetic session either face-to-face or through live online delivery. We offer a wide range of topics, full of practical tips, tools and techniques. 20

23 Impact story 7 Management Evolution is working with the world's premier online luxury fashion retailer to deliver a programme of short courses on various topics. As an organisation they have successfully established themselves as a luxury brand and (like us) share a goal of excellence, innovation and integrity underpinning all that they do. We have designed, and continue to deliver, a range of programmes to this enviable pool of talented people. We support them to continue their growth and expansion with 2 hour, fast-paced, practical workshops delivered face to face on key topics. Due to this organisation s obsession with quality and service, they don't outsource which means they have an enormously diverse and complex business. Where else would you find Java Developers working next to Womenswear Buyers? So on our sessions we deliver to a diverse group of people whose roles may lie within fashion, the creative arts, technology or logistics. Our sessions have been enormously popular with them all and have helped them cope with the mix of challenges given to them. As they have over 1000 employees in London and New York, plus dealing with international labels via worldwide express delivery, Leading Remote Teams has proved a very relevant topic. We are helping their leaders to adjust their management style and approach when dealing with remote workers. Managing remote teams brings special challenges. "Inputs" are often difficult to observe and "Outputs" do not tell the whole story - especially in the short term. The participants have learnt that planned communication and building trust is the key. Choosing the right technology for their management task can also make the physical separation less of a barrier. This particular training course is providing them with the practical techniques and methods to effectively motivate and manage their virtual and remote teams with success
