2 TRANSFER SERVICES will make reservations as well as arrangements for transportation of its guests from Mercedes Bus Station (Corrientes), and from the Airport or Bus Station of Posadas (Misiones) or Corrientes Capital (Corrientes). We don t arrange transfers from or to Iguazú. We recommend to contact and arrange the Local Operators for long trips within Misiones and Corrientes Provinces. 3 FROM MERCEDES (Province of Corrientes) The FLECHABUS ( long-distance bus company has one scheduled bus per day to the City of Mercedes (Province of Corrientes). It departs from the Retiro Bus Terminal (City of Buenos Aires) at 9 pm (with one stop in San Isidro El Motivo Road 197) and arrives in the Mercedes Bus Terminal (Province of Corrientes) at 6 am approximately- Mercedes / Posada Aguapé: U$D 180 Private transfer charges per section for 4 people. The 120 km ride takes from 1 and a half hour to 2 hours depending on the weather conditions. Approximately 30 km are on paved road + 90 on dirt road. Mercedes / Aguapé- Lodge: 120 Km. by Provincial Road 40. The 120 km ride takes from 2 and a half hours approx. depending on the weather conditions. Approximately 30 km are on paved road + 90 on dirt road. RECOMMENDATIONS TO THOSE COMING BY CAR: Hired cars are not recommended to get to the Natuaral Reserve. For vehicles with no wheel-drive, it will take 2 hours and a half minimum from the City of Mercedes to Colonia Carlos Pellegrini by the dirt road. The road is being paved so there are sections in which the soil is removed. (*) vehicle with no wheel-drive are not recommended if it rains. There are very few signals on the road from Mercedes to Colonia Carlos Pellegrini. You will have cell phone signal only for 10 km after leaving Mercedes on Provincial Road 40. The signal will return when you get to Colonia Carlos Pellegrini. There are neither ATMs nor gas stations in Colonia Carlos Pellegrini. So you must fill in your tank before taking the road to the Natural Iberá Reserve. We recommend you to take this road during the day so as to enjoy the marvellous fauna and birds mostly when you get close to the Natural Iberá Reserve area.
